This role is intended for a creative and technically accomplished professional who likely began their career as a software engineer and subsequently developed into a business analyst and technical product manager.\nThe Software Product Manager will work closely with software engineers, project management, UI designers, client services teams, clients, data engineers, AI engineers, infrastructure teams, and executive stakeholders to translate business objectives into executable product and release plans for teams to build the related software products.\nThe role will frequently involve collaboration with distributed technology teams across multiple time zones, including teams in the United States and India.\nAs a premier consulting and technology firm, alliant is focused on providing solutions to help businesses transform and thrive, while serving as their ongoing growth partner.\nKey Responsibilities\nTranslate customer needs, business objectives, user feedback, and technical considerations into clear product requirements, user stories, workflows, business rules, acceptance criteria, and success measures for web and mobile applications\nPartner with engineering and design to validate feasibility, resolve gaps and dependencies, and maintain a shared understanding of product and feature requirements before development begins.\nMaintain accurate product, requirements, and release documentation as products evolve. \nDevelop and deliver release communications, presentations, and training for internal and external audiences.\nApply Agile practices by facilitating sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives while partnering with engineering to translate requirements into clearly defined, actionable work items.\nTrack sprint progress, capacity, dependencies, blockers, and delivery trends to support realistic release schedules.\nCreate and continuously refine a prioritized product roadmap based on customer impact, business value, strategic objectives, effort, dependencies, risk, and available capacity.\nPartner with engineering and delivery teams to translate initiatives into achievable releases, milestones, and incremental deliverables while monitoring progress and managing cross-team dependencies.\nCommunicate roadmap priorities, rationale, tradeoffs, and deferred work to stakeholders.\nPartner with engineering, UX/UI, QA, customer-facing teams, and business stakeholders to facilitate requirements reviews, prioritization, backlog refinement, and release planning throughout the product lifecycle.\nResolve ambiguity, make timely product decisions, and clearly communicate priorities and tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nIncorporate customer and internal feedback into product requirements and roadmap priorities.\nDefine measurable outcomes for features and releases, evaluate delivered functionality against requirements and user needs, and use product data and feedback to identify improvements.\nImprove product-development processes, requirements quality, and roadmap practices.\nCollaborate effectively with engineering, UI/UX, QA, and business teams across the United States, India, and multiple time zones.\nUse clear documentation and outcome-focused meetings to communicate priorities, decisions, dependencies, blockers, schedule changes, and next steps.\nTechnical Qualifications\nExperience with software development, product design, project management, and documentation tools such as:\nAha!\nMicrosoft Azure DevOps / ADO Projects\nJira\nConfluence\nMicrosoft Suite, including Loop\nLucid\nFigma\nQualifications\nDegree in Computer Science or a related field, required;
