We shape it.\nRole overview\nThe Controlling Expert is responsible for all financials in his/her respective area and their accuracy, including costs, revenues, and operating profits. He/she plans, reports, forecasts, analyzes and challenges financial KPIs and their main drivers in close collaboration with the business owners, and coordinates improvement measures. The Controlling Expert acts as a finance business partner and supports the management in all financial decision topics.\nWhat you do:\nEnsure completeness and accuracy of all financials, including costs, revenues, and operating profits for the area of responsibility.\nMonitor financial performance against plan and forecast, analyze deviations, and recommend corrective actions to ensure target achievement.\nCreate and provide comprehensive financial analyses, reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders on ad-hoc, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.\nOversee monthly billing, revenue accrual, and cost provision processes ensuring financial transparency and compliance with IFRS and relevant accounting principles, and Allianz's internal policies.\nDevelop recommendations for financial targets within strategic and operational planning and forecasting processes, considering long-, mid-, and short-term perspectives.\nCollaborate closely with central and local team members and business representatives to drive best practice sharing and standardize guidelines, processes, and systems for efficiency in controlling topics.\nWhat you bring:\nProven working experience in Finance, Controlling, and/or Accounting - ideally as a Business Controller, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.\nDeep understanding of financial planning, analysis, and performance monitoring.\nAbility to develop and enhance financial guidelines, processes, and systems.\nProficiency in financial software and tools.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.\nFluent in English; fluency in German or other local languages is highly desirable.\nWe highly welcome candidates with a genuine interest and affinity for Information Technology (IT) andGenerative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), as these attributes are considered valuable assets to our team.\nWhat we offer:\nWe offer a hybrid work model which recognizes the value of striking a balance between in-person collaboration and remote working incl. up to 25 days per year working from abroad\nWe believe in rewarding performance and our compensation and benefits package includes a company bonus scheme, pension, employee shares program and multiple employee discounts (details vary by location)\nFrom career development and digital learning programs to international career mobility, we offer lifelong learning for our employees worldwide and an environment where innovation, delivery and empowerment are fostered\nFlexible working, health and wellbeing offers (including healthcare and parental leave benefits) support to balance family and career and help our people return from career breaks with experience that nothing else can teach.\nAbout Allianz\nAllianz Group is one of the most trusted insurance and asset management companies in the world.
