Join Allianz Services as a Data & AI Engineer (m/f/d) and dive into impactful data science and engineering projects within our Az Services Spain Engineering Hub. Collaborate with a dynamic, international team to design, build, and productionize models and data-driven systems that deliver measurable business outcomes. Partner closely with the Business Owner to translate goals into working solutions with clear SLAs, governance, and ROI to truly \"Make AI Happen.\"\nWhat you do:\nDesign and implement machine learning models and data-driven applications, with a focus on robust system design and clean, maintainable pipelines.\nDevelop and deploy a diverse range of models, moving comfortably between classical machine learning (e.g., LightGBM, XGBoost, Scikit-Learn) for structured data and other modeling approaches for unstructured or text-based data as needed.\nDesign evaluation frameworks and feedback loops, including offline/online testing and regression checks, to ensure model accuracy and reliability over time.\nCreate secure integrations between models and internal APIs, databases, and SaaS systems, applying REST principles and API versioning so consumers keep working as model behavior evolves, and returning structured, validated response schemas rather than raw model output.\nDeploy new model versions behind stable, versioned endpoints, backed by automated testing suited to non-deterministic outputs (contract tests, output validation, regression benchmarks) and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).\nOptimize services for latency, reliability, and cost-efficiency, and build in the logging, monitoring, and traceability needed to run them confidently in production.\nWrite high-quality, testable code and maintain CI/CD pipelines; produce clear technical documentation to ensure long-term maintainability.\nWhat you bring:\n5-7 years of professional experience delivering end-to-end ML or data engineering projects, from data preparation through production deployment and monitoring.\nStrong Python programming and software engineering fundamentals (unit testing, type hinting, packaging).\nSolid understanding of the machine learning product lifecycle and hands-on experience with MLOps practices.\nProficiency in CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).\nHands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure preferred); comfort designing versioned, well-documented APIs is a plus.\nA demonstrable ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and the self-motivation to drive delivery within an agile environment.\nGood level of English (required);\nWe highly welcome candidates with a genuine interest and affinity for Information Technology (IT) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), as these attributes are considered valuable assets to our team. \nWhat we offer:\nWe offer a hybrid work model which recognizes the value of striking a balance between in-person collaboration and remote working incl. up to 25 days per year working from abroad.\nWe believe in rewarding performance and our compensation and benefits package includes a company bonus scheme, pension, employee shares program and multiple employee discounts (details vary by location).\nFrom career development and digital learning programs to international career mobility, we offer lifelong learning for our employees worldwide and an environment where innovation, delivery and empowerment are fostered.\nFlexible working, health and wellbeing offers (including healthcare and parental leave benefits) support to balance family and career and help our people return from career breaks with experience that nothing else can teach.\nAbout Allianz\nAllianz Group is one of the most trusted insurance and asset management companies in the world.
