FIV is the central sales steering and information system for around 14,000 users in sales and controlling functions at Allianz in Germany, providing data across various platforms. It comprises 25 TB of data across five production databases.\nThe agile Product Team is part of the Sales Steering Tribe, which is based within Allianz Kunde und Markt GmbH. The Sales Steering Chapter - i.e., your “disciplinary home” - belongs to Allianz Technology.\nWhat You Do:\nDevelopment of the data warehouse based on Jira tickets: data model extensions, database programming, adjustments to ETL/ELT processes (tool: biGenius), versioning in GitHub, modeling of ETL job workflows (automation), creation of new and maintenance of existing interfaces (e.g. connecting new databases)\nResponsibility for the stable operation of your own solution (DevOps) within the data warehouse: monitoring job chains, analyzing and resolving faults, handling incidents\nCarrying out build, deployment, and recurring operational tasks (CI/CD, scripting)\nCarrying out general system integration tests (providing test data, monitoring job chains)\nSupporting/maintaining data delivery processes to downstream systems\nAccompanying, participating in, and testing upgrades and migrations of interfaces and their databases\nRegularly taking on early and late shifts at month-end\n\nWhat You Bring:\nDegree in computer science / natural sciences / engineering, or comparable qualification\nVery good SQL skills as well as confident command of at least one procedural database language (e.g. PL/SQL)\nSolid knowledge of at least one relational or analytical database system (preferably Exasol, also other database management systems such as Oracle, Snowflake, etc.) and the ability to transfer this knowledge to other systems\nWillingness to familiarize yourself with Exasol (currently the only system in use)\nExperience in developing and operating data warehouse systems, as well as willingness to combine both roles in line with the DevOps approach\nConfident handling of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), i.e. GitHub, Jenkins\nStrong willingness and enthusiasm for continuously familiarizing yourself with new technologies, tools, and platforms - even beyond today's system landscape\nVery good English skills, level B1\nWillingness to take on early and late shifts\nIndependent, team-oriented way of working\nWillingness to work efficiently with AI-based tools\nExperience working in an agile environment\nAnalytical thinking skills and strong problem-solving competence\nStrong communication skills and high customer orientation\nStrong sense of quality and responsibility\nDesirable:\nSeveral years of professional experience\nKnowledge of the programming languages Lua and Python\nKnowledge of the Exasol database\nConfident handling of automation processes\nKnowledge of an ETL tool\nBasic understanding of cloud infrastructure and AWS-based components for data (e.g., Glue), IaaS, and containers.\nExperience with PyCharm, Visual Studio Code\nExperience with Confluence, Jira\nGerman language skills\nWhat We Offer:\nWe offer a hybrid work model which recognizes the value of striking a balance between in-person collaboration and remote working incl. up to 25 days per year working from abroad.\nWe believe in rewarding performance and our compensation and benefits package includes a company bonus scheme, pension, employee shares program, and multiple employee discounts (details vary by location).\nFrom career development and digital learning programs to international career mobility, we offer lifelong learning for our employees worldwide and an environment where innovation, delivery, and empowerment are fostered.\nFlexible working, health and wellbeing offers (including healthcare and parental leave benefits) support to balance family and career and help our people return from career breaks with experience that nothing else can teach.
