We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical individual with a foundation in finance, accounting, banking or business who is keen to develop specialist expertise in credit control.\nThis is not a traditional credit control role. In addition to managing instalment processes, supporting reporting activities and assessing customer creditworthiness, you'll spend a significant amount of time handling customer calls and emails. We're therefore looking for someone who enjoys a blend of customer service, analysis and administration.\nSalary Information\nThis role offers a salary of Circa £30,000 per annum\nPay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.\nFor candidates who can demonstrate particularly strong alignment to the requirements of the role, we may consider flexibility within our reward framework.\nLocation\nThis role is based in our Bristol office, please note that this is a hybrid working role with the expectation that you attend the office 40% of your time. During your initial training period, you will be required to spend additional time in the office to support your development.\nAbout the Role\nAs Instalments Controller you will:\nHandle a high volume of internal and external customer enquiries via telephone and email, delivering a professional, responsive and customer-focused service.\nUndertake instalment control activities in line with defined processes to support prompt premium collection and delivery of agreed KPIs.\nEnsure instalment process and operational activities are adhered to within regulatory requirements.\nHandle internal and external customer queries via telephone and email in an efficient and professional manner.\nBuilds effective relationships with both internal and external customers.\nSupport effective and efficient collaboration between offshore and onshore teams.\nMaintain policies, procedures, workflows and records to meet audit, regulatory and statutory requirements.\nAssess customer creditworthiness by reviewing financial information, payment histories and other relevant data to support informed credit risk decisions.\nProduce, analyse and interpret regular and ad hoc reports to support business performance and decision-making.\nProvide timely information and insight in response to changing business requirements.\nSupport the maintenance and continuous improvement of process documentation, ensuring it remains accurate and compliant.\nIdentify and escalate issues relating to systems, processes or controls and contribute ideas for improvement.\nCommunicate effectively with colleagues and leaders to ensure challenges are addressed promptly and efficiently.\nEssential Skills:\nA foundation in finance, accounting, banking, credit control, business administration or a related discipline.\nStrong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.\nAbility to analyse data, identify trends and support decision-making through reporting and insight.\nCompetence in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables and data formatting, with a willingness to further develop reporting and analytical skills.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.\nAbility to prioritise work effectively, manage multiple tasks and work independently.\nA proactive and solution-focused approach to problem solving.\nCommitment to delivering high levels of accuracy and customer service.\nPositive team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment.\nAbility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.\nDesirable Skills:\nExperience gained within a finance, credit control, banking or related commercial environment.\nQualification or training in finance, accounting, business, economics or a related discipline.\nExperience producing, analysing or interpreting business reports and management information.\nExperience assessing financial information / credit risk.\nUnderstanding of FCA, insurance or banking regulatory frameworks.\nResponsible Artificial Intelligence usage.\nWhat We Will Offer You\nRecognised and rewarded for a job well done, we have a range of flexible benefits for you to choose from- so you can pick a package that’s perfect for you.
