This role sits within the actuarial pricing function responsible for the Individual and SME book of Allianz Partners’ International Private Medical Insurance (IPMI) portfolio.\nThe successful candidate will work across a diverse range of projects that support Allianz Partners’ growth strategy, such as launching innovative solutions and expanding into new markets, while also contributing to the ongoing management and development of the current book of business.\nThis is a global team of 14 professionals across 5 countries, offering a unique opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from different geographies and backgrounds. This role provides an excellent platform to develop actuarial and business skills while contributing to varied projects across multiple geographies within our growing product suite.\nWhat you will do\nResponsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:\nSupport the review of insurance product performance by conducting exploratory data analysis (EDA), interpreting trends, and identifying insights to inform pricing decisions.\nWork closely with key stakeholders to develop and refine product and pricing propositions to meet internal and external requirements \nParticipate in strategic projects where pricing input is required\nSupport the preparation of strategic business case analysis to understand and achieve a desirable balance of growth/profitability\nProvide technical pricing support and analysis for key business projects\nAssist in the determination of suitable premiums for new products to facilitate entry into new markets and territories \nCommunication and presentation of results of analysis to various stakeholders\nDevelopment of reports to further automate dissemination of information across business teams\nManage the accurate and timely implementation of premium rate structures on policy administration and quotation systems\nEnsure the appropriateness of the methodologies, underlying models and assumptions made in the calculation of premium rates\nBuild technical excellence through hands-on experience in modelling with statistical methods and machine learning, supported by ongoing learning and development\n AI Readiness Work effectively in an environment shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data, analytics and cloud-based tools, using insights responsibly with our standards of data governance, security and ethical use. \nWhat you will need\nThe successful candidate for this position will need to have the following skills/ experience:\nUniversity Student in an Actuarial Program\nStrong organizational, analytical and time management skills\nAbility to collaborate with colleagues across the pricing team and other departments\nAbility to work independently and resolve complex problems with minimal direct supervision.\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complicated processes and concepts to non-experts\nExperience with Excel (including VBA), SQL, Python, R, Power BI, and/or generative AI platforms is advantageous, with opportunities to develop these skills further on the job.\nHow We Hire\nAllianz Partners does not accept unsolicited CV’s or approaches from agencies.
