This is an excellent opportunity to develop your underwriting expertise in a collaborative, high-performing environment.\nYou’ll take part in our Fleet Authority Accreditation programme, sharpening your skills in underwriting, risk engineering, pricing, and claims management. You’ll also connect with experts across the Allianz Group to exchange best practices and broaden your global perspective.\nLocation: This role is be based in our Maidstone office, please note that this is a hybrid working role with the expectation that you will attend the office 3 days per week.\nSalary Information\nPay: Circa £44,000 per year.\nPay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.\nAbout You\nAs our Motor Fleet Underwriter, you’ll:\nTake ownership of your allocated renewals &/or new business, using your expertise to retain strategic accounts that drive growth.\nDevelop trusted partnerships with brokers, leveraging collaboration to unlock new opportunities and strengthen market presence.\nRepresent the business confidently through face-to-face engagement, networking, and active participation in industry events.\nSupport team development by guiding peers, reviewing referrals, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality service.\nWork closely with internal departments to streamline processes and deliver seamless, client-focused solutions.\nAct as a reliable point of contact for priority clients, anticipating needs and delivering tailored, responsive support.\nEssential skills\nProven expertise in underwriting/assessing complex risks (Fleet experience is desirable but not essential); if you have strong Underwriting or broking experience, we’d love to hear from you.\nA track record of dealing with large and/or complex risks and cases\nProven ability to manage broker relationships that fuel growth and long-term retention\nThe ability to adapt and react with a commercial mind to short notice change\nDesirable Skills\nResponsible Artificial Intelligence usage\nWhat We Will Offer You\nRecognised and rewarded for a job well done, we have a range of flexible benefits for you to choose from- so you can pick a package that’s perfect for you.
