This is a hybrid role based in our London office.\nAs a Senior Pricing Analyst, you will use machine learning techniques and insurance market knowledge to develop and implement price optimisation across our leading retail motor brands: LV, Allianz Online, and Britannia Car. You’ll create and deliver your own plans for projects and communicate the results to stakeholders across the business. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.\nAbout You\nAs a Senior Pricing Analyst, you’ll have experience in a relevant working environment, and you’ll be looking to take the next step in your chosen path to becoming one of our trusted experts in the field of Pricing.\nWhile on the journey, you'll be supported by the team to grow and develop in the more technical aspects of the role. You'll have an analytical mind and a keen interest in helping drive data-led decision making across Pricing.\nYou'll also be a great communicator, with the ability to present your ideas to stakeholders from around the business.\nWhile having a financial services background could be advantageous, we’re happy to consider applicants from any industry with a proven record in delivering analytical work.\nKnowledge of pricing optimisation, and the skills to influence optimisation strategies for new business or renewals is desirable.\nThis could also include (but is not limited to) working with Willis Towers Watson’s Radar software.\nEssential Skills\nWe don't expect you to know everything from day one, but you should be able to demonstrate\nthe following:\nStrong knowledge and experience of using statistical methods, predictive models, and machine learning techniques to achieve business objectives. This should include (but is not limited to) GLMs (Generalised Linear Models) and tree-based GBMs (Gradient Boosting Machines).\nExcellent data handling skills, such as producing summary statistics, transformations and visualisations, preferably using Databricks, SQL, PySpark, or equivalent.\nCapability to review junior team members’ work, provide feedback, and suggest improvements.\nExperience of using software such as Python or WTW Radar to analyse data and create predictive models, preferably in a team environment. \nProficiency in Excel and MS Office applications.\nEnthusiasm to maintain and improve your knowledge of data science as applied to pricing insurance products.\nAbility to build and maintain relationships throughout both the Pricing Department and the wider business.\nProven teamworking and organisation skills to allow you to plan and deliver projects, adapting where necessary to external factors.\nAbility to interpret analytical outputs and communicate results to technical and non-technical audiences.\nA passion for sharing technical knowledge in an informative and engaging way to support and mentor junior colleagues across Pricing.\nDesirable Skills\nComprehensive knowledge of the principles of insurance and factors that contribute to setting the price of a policy.\nKnowledge of price optimisation and the UK regulatory environment.\nSolid experience with Willis Towers Watson software such as Radar Base, Optimiser and Emblem.\nExperience of responsible Artificial Intelligence usage for personal productivity tasks (e.g. coding).\nWhat We Will Offer You\nRecognised and rewarded for a job well done, we have a range of flexible benefits for you to choose from- so you can pick a package that’s perfect for you.
