We shape it.\nRole overview\nWe are looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join our Business Master Platform (BMP) team in Barcelona.\nIn this role, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping translate business needs into effective technology solutions. You will work closely with Product Owners, developers, architects, and testers to deliver platform enhancements, support rollout initiatives, and drive process improvements across Allianz entities.\nYou are comfortable discussing business challenges with stakeholders and working with technical teams to ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with business goals.\nWhat you do:\nGather, analyse, document, and validate business requirements for BMP initiatives\nTranslate business processes into AS-IS / TO-BE models, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria aligned with Allianz standards\nSupport Product Owners in backlog refinement, prioritization, and sprint readiness\nFacilitate requirement workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder alignment meetings\nEnsure end-to-end traceability of requirements across design, development, testing and release\nCollaborate with development, testing, and architecture teams to clarify requirements and ensure shared understanding\nContribute to system and user acceptance testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios and supporting validation activities\nIdentify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve business processes\nSupport continuous improvement of BA practices, templates, and standards across Operations Engineering & Transformation.\nWhat you bring:\n3-6 years of experience in Business Analysis roles in IT, operations, or insurance environments\nBusiness-fluent English (written and spoken)\n\nPractical experience in requirements engineering: user stories, epics, acceptance criteria, and traceability\nGood understanding of core insurance domains (Underwriting, Claims, Pricing, Payments) or strong motivation to learn\nExperience with insurance platforms (e.g., BMP, APL, ABS, Guidewire) or interest in developing knowledge\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to model business processes clearly\nSolid communication and stakeholder-management skills in cross-functional and global setups\nInterest or affinity for technology and Generative AI is considered a plus\nStrong BA fundamentals: elicitation, documentation, validation, and process modelling\nExperience working in agile environments (Scrum or SAFe)\nAbility to collaborate across business, operations, and IT teams\nA quality-driven mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.\nProactiveness, ownership, and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment\nWe highly welcome candidates with a genuine interest and affinity for Information Technology (IT) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), as these attributes are considered valuable assets to our team\nWhat we offer:\nWe offer a hybrid work model which recognizes the value of striking a balance between in-person collaboration and remote working incl. up to 25 days per year working from abroad\nWe believe in rewarding performance and our compensation and benefits package includes a company bonus scheme, pension, employee shares program and multiple employee discounts (details vary by location)\nFrom career development and digital learning programs to international career mobility, we offer lifelong learning for our employees worldwide and an environment where innovation, delivery and empowerment are fostered\nFlexible working, health and wellbeing offers (including healthcare and parental leave benefits) support to balance family and career and help our people return from career breaks with experience that nothing else can teach.\nAbout Allianz \nAllianz Group is one of the most trusted insurance and asset management companies in the world.
