Reporting to the Area Technical Lead, you will join a team of peer Tribe Technical Leads representing different CDC areas.\nWorking closely with the Tribe Lead, Product Owners, architects, technical leads and engineering teams, you will ensure technical delivery excellence across squads and develop a consistent, secure, resilient and cost-efficient platform roadmap. You will translate complex customer and enterprise requirements into scalable platform capabilities and enable cloud adoption through automation, self-service and strong technical governance.\nWhat you do\nSet the technical vision and define the technology strategy, targets, KPIs and roadmap for the tribe. Ensure technical delivery excellence across squads and align architecture, engineering practices and platform lifecycle decisions.\nDrive the evolution of secure, resilient, scalable and cost-efficient cloud platform services, including reducing technical debt and continuously improving the Zero Impact Outages strategy.\nEstablish and evolve platform guardrails, reference architectures and automated controls for security, compliance, resilience, observability and cloud economics. Enable cloud adoption through reusable platform services, automation, self-service and a consistent developer and customer experience.\nCreate transparency across platform usage, architecture, operational health, risk and cost, and translate insights into clear improvement priorities. Identify, incubate and productize innovative platform capabilities, including AI-enabled engineering, governance and operations.\nTogether with the Tribe Lead, ensure value delivery and cost efficiency, clarify priorities and balance customer demand, regulatory requirements, operational stability and strategic change.\nSet scope, prioritize conflicting requirements and manage technical dependencies within the tribe and across tribes and areas. Support Product Owners, Agile Masters, architects, technical leads and senior engineers in translating business requirements into sustainable technical solutions.\nRepresent the tribe on product, customer, provider and technology-related topics towards area and upper management, governance bodies and strategic partners. Shape and evolve the practice of Tribe Technical Leadership and foster engineering excellence, knowledge sharing and technical talent development.\nWhat you bring\nSeveral years of experience in technical leadership for public cloud platforms, cloud-native services or large-scale infrastructure products. Strong hands-on knowledge of AWS and/or Microsoft Azure, including core compute, container, networking, identity, data and managed platform services.\nPractical experience with Infrastructure as Code and automated delivery, for example Terraform, cloud-native templates, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines and policy as code.\nSound understanding of cloud-native architecture and platform engineering, including containers and Kubernetes, APIs, automation, self-service and developer platforms. \nGood knowledge of cloud security, compliance, resilience, observability and FinOps, and the ability to turn these requirements into scalable platform guardrails.\nExperience developing technical roadmaps and moving new capabilities from proof of concept into reliable, supportable and adopted services. \nAbility to simplify complex system landscapes, make sound technical trade-offs and communicate decisions clearly to engineering teams, customers, governance functions and senior management.\nExperience navigating the technology landscape of a large, complex, multinational organization, ideally in a regulated industry, combined with a hands-on mindset, curiosity for emerging technologies and a strong focus on measurable customer value.\nFamiliarity with AI technologies and GenAI platforms is a strong advantage.\nWhat we offer\nWe offer a hybrid work model which recognizes the value of striking a balance between in-person collaboration and remote working incl. up to 25 days per year working from abroad.\nWe believe in rewarding performance and our compensation and benefits package includes a company bonus scheme, pension, employee shares program and multiple employee discounts (details vary by location).\nFrom career development and digital learning programs to international career mobility, we offer lifelong learning for our employees worldwide and an environment where innovation, delivery and empowerment are fostered.\nFlexible working, health and wellbeing offers (including healthcare and parental leave benefits) support to balance family and career and help our people return from career breaks with experience that nothing else can teach.\n About Allianz Technology\nWith its headquarters in Munich, Germany, Allianz Technology is Allianz's global IT service provider and delivers IT solutions that drive the group's digitalization.
