The role is responsible for ensuring high-quality underwriting support, effective service delivery, strong governance and compliance standards, and seamless collaboration between underwriters, brokers, and operational teams. The incumbent also drives reporting, process optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and portfolio performance.\nKey Responsibilities:\nUnderwriting Operations & Risk Assessment\nLead and coordinate pre-binding underwriting activities to support profitable MidCorp business growth and efficient risk selection.\nSupport Underwriters in risk assessment, quotation preparation, submission review, and renewal evaluation. \nConduct initial risk assessments and ensure completeness and quality of underwriting information. \nCoordinate pre-binding activities, including sanctions screening, accumulation checks, commercial log clearance, quotation slip preparation, system updates, and documentation management. \nConsolidate claims experience and risk information to support underwriting decisions. \nMaintain underwriting records, opportunity pipelines, and renewal listings to support business planning and execution. \nSupport Facultative Reinsurance placement administration and related documentation where applicable.\nPortfolio Administration & Service Delivery\nEnsure accurate and timely execution of policy administration activities throughout the policy lifecycle while maintaining agreed service standards.\nCoordinate policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, certificates, cover notes, and statutory correspondence. \nMonitor and manage outstanding actions, policy documentation, and servicing requests to meet turnaround time commitments. \nMaintain accurate underwriting systems, policy records, and document repositories. \nCoordinate with brokers, producers, sales channels, finance teams, and internal stakeholders on policy servicing matters. \nSupport premium booking, premium reconciliation, statements of account, and related financial administration.\nGovernance, Controls & Quality Assurance\nMaintain operational execellence through strong governance, compliance adherence, and quality control.\nPerform quality assurance reviews on underwriting and processing activities completed internally and through offshore support teams.\nEnsure compliance with underwriting guidelines, regulatory requirements, sanctions processes, and internal controls.\nSupport audit reviews, documentation requirements, and remediation activities.\nEstablish and maintain workflows, monitoring mechanisms, and service controls to enhance operational effectiveness and accountability.\nStakeholder & Service Management\nAct as a key coordination point for underwriting service delivery across internal and external stakeholders.\nBuild strong working relationships with sales, underwriters, service teams, and business partners.\nProvide timely responses and effective resolution of underwriting and policy servicing matters.\nCoordinate activities across onshore and offshore teams to ensure seamless service delivery.\nSupport knowledge sharing, training, and capability development within the wider underwriting support function.\nPortfolio Reporting, Analytics & Continuous Improvement\nProvide insights and operational support to enhance portfolio performance, productivity, and business scalability.\nProduce portfolio, management, and performance reports on a weekly, monthly, and ad hoc basis.\nAnalyse premium trends, retention performance, workflow volumes, and operational metrics to identify improvement opportunities.\nSupport projects, automation initiatives, system enhancements, UAT activities, and process optimisation efforts.\nQualifications and Skills:\nMinimum Diploma/Degree holder in any related field\nPrior experience working in an insurance/reinsurance company preferred\nKnowledge of commercial lines of business preferred\nProficient in Microsoft Office, Excel\nEffective communication skills\nGood customer service skills\nAbility to develop and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally\nAbility to navigate ambiguity and to see work through to completion with minimal supervision\nPro-active and “can-do” attitude\nWillingness to learn\nAI-Skills e.g. ChatGPT and Microsoft CoPilot an advantage.\n106759 | Underwriting | Professional | Non-Executive | Allianz Singapore | Full-Time | Permanent\nAllianz Group is one of the most trusted insurance and asset management companies in the world.
