Responsible for developing, validating, executing, and documenting test plans and test scripts, including unit, comparison, regression, integration, and performance testing. Collaborates closely with Business Analysts, Production Control and Operations, and Development teams throughout test design and execution. Works under the general supervision of the Quality Assurance Manager of Information Systems with moderate latitude for initiative and independent judgment.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nEssential Functions:\nDevelops detailed test plans for complex applications. \nReviews user requirements, resolves discrepancies, and clarifies business processes. \nWrites and edits comprehensive test cases based on user requirements and functional specifications.\nUses automated testing tools to conduct functionality, regression, and system testing, ensuring expected product behavior. \nMentors team members in the use of automated testing tools. \nAssists in planning, conducting, and coordinating all phases of testing. \nSupports functional users in User Acceptance Testing and validates test results. \nDocuments expected and actual test outcomes and logs defects using automated tracking tools. \nIdentifies issues uncovered through testing and works with stakeholders to coordinate resolutions. \nTracks and reports test status, results, and metrics. \nSupports coordination and verification of sign-off at various testing levels. \nAttends work regularly in alignment with agency attendance policies. \nComplies with all applicable agency policies, procedures, safety requirements, and standards of conduct.\nPerforms on-call or scheduled after-hours work as required. \nPerforms other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nAdvanced SQL querying proficiency. \nExtensive knowledge of quality assurance processes throughout the software lifecycle. \nProficiency with automated functionality testing tools. \nAbility to test within large, highly integrated systems. \nStrong analytical and documentation skills. \nExcellent communication skills for interacting with IT staff, functional users, and management. \nAbility to work cooperatively and maintain productive working relationships across the agency. \nProfessional Expectations:\nAttends all meetings, meets delivery deadlines and is available during client office hours. \nLogs in and remains on agency Jabber during work hours. \nAttends remote meetings with camera on unless prior arranged for camera off. \nCoordinates leave and vacation with client lead. \nMust dress appropriately for a business/business casual environment. \nCommunicates respectfully and works harmoniously with all co-workers, customers and vendors.\nProvides exceptional customer service. \nIs flexible; able to work under pressure and; able to adapt to change; and able to work on multiple problems and tasks. \nTakes initiative to prevent and solve problems.\nQualifications\nMinimum (Required):\nYears\nSkills/Experience\nEducation and Training: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
