The successful candidate may be considered for other similar assignments if authorized through the applicable procurement and contracting process\nUnderstands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system: Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program. Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.\n**Location of job: Hybrid, 3 days remote with 2 days (Mon & Wed) required to be onsite. developing secure web portals or enterprise applications supporting internal and external users, including role-based access, identity management, API integration, secure coding, testing, performance optimization, and operational support.\n5\nPreferred\nExperience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, FastAPI, and Terraform.\n3\nPreferred\nExperience developing applications in healthcare, public health, disease surveillance, or health information environments, including electronic case reporting, laboratory data, healthcare records, or other regulated health information.\n3\nPreferred\nExperience developing applications that process sensitive healthcare data while complying with HIPAA, privacy, security, and data governance requirements.\n3\nPreferred\nExperience integrating applications with cloud services and data platforms, including AWS services, enterprise APIs, analytics platforms, data warehouses, or large-scale data ingestion solutions supporting reporting and analytics.\n3\nPreferred\nExperience implementing OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, or other enterprise authentication and authorization solutions.\n3\nPreferred\nExperience designing and implementing event-driven architectures using cloud-native integration and messaging services.\n3\nPreferred\nExperience with modern software delivery practices, including Git, GitHub, CI/CD, automated deployments, DevSecOps, unit and integration testing, code reviews, defect tracking, monitoring, logging, and documentation.\n1\nPreferred\nExperience deploying applications using Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.\n1\nPreferred\nExperience with AWS HealthLake, Snowflake, or similar cloud healthcare data
