The program will focus on learning and development as well as hands-on experience. This is a full-time internship (40-hours per week) based at our St. Paul, Minnesota on the Securian campus.\nThe Field Learning & Development Intern will assist the Sales Enablement & Operations Department with the design and development of learning resources to support our sales and service representatives (the “Field”). This role will focus primarily on instructional design and eLearning development, including the creation of static learning documents and interactive training modules in Seismic Learning Management System. The intern will also gain exposure to sales enablement and learning technology through Seismic platform administration, content management, user onboarding, and performance-support initiatives. In this position, you will also support learning management system (LMS) administration tasks, reporting and analytics, and gain exposure to adult learning theory and instructional design models such as ADDIE. This position provides valuable hands-on experience in corporate learning and development, preparing you for future roles in instructional design, training, sales enablement, and learning technologies.\nJob Duties and Responsibilities\nInstructional Design & Content Creation\nAssistin the design and development of training materials, including static documents, eLearnings, and multimedia resources.\n\nApply instructional design principles (e.g., ADDIE) to create engaging and effective learning solutions.\n\nEnsure training content is clear, visually appealing, and aligned with brand standards.\n\nSupport the incorporation of interactivity, video, and audio elements into learning materials.\n\nDevelop job aids, user guides, process documentation, and other performance-support resources for Field employees.\n\nAssistwith organizing, maintaining, and updating content within Seismic to improve usability, searchability, and platform adoption.\n\nLearning Management System & Analytics\nAssist with Seismic Learning LMS administration tasks such as course setup, content updates, and user support.\n\nPull reporting from Seismic Learning and other systems to track engagement, completion, and performance metrics.\n\nSupport the evaluation of training effectiveness using data and feedback.\n\nCollaboration & Support\nWork with subject matter experts (SMEs), trainers, and stakeholders to gather content and feedback.\n\nAssistwith the preparation, coordination, and facilitation of live and virtual training sessions as appropriate.\n\nGather feedback from Field employees and other stakeholders to identifylearning, resource, and user-supportneeds.\n\nAssistwith other miscellaneous projects and provide support to team members as needed.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications (Education, Experience,Certifications& KSA)\nCurrently enrolled in an undergraduate program as a rising Junior or Senior, pursuing a degree in Learning & Development, Education, Human Resources, Instructional Design, Communications, or related field preferred\n\nFamiliarity with instructional design principles (ADDIE or similar)\n\nStrong writing and editing skills to produce clear, engaging, and professional training content\n\nBasic graphic/visual design skills and ability to create simple layouts\n\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills\n\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively\n\nAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects\n\nProficiencywith Microsoft Office products, with ability to learn internal systems\n\nFamiliarity with eLearning development tools or LMS platforms preferred (Seismic Learning or similar)\n\nInterest in learning technologies, sales enablement platforms, and improving the user experience of digital learning and content systems preferred.\n\nInterest in adult learning theory and emerging technologies in learning (e.g., AI in training) preferred\n\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
