Implementation Managers must excel in detailed planning and adhere closely to a defined scope.\nIdentify potential risks and issues and develop effective mitigation strategies.\nCollaborate with stakeholders and teams to refine project scope, goals, and deliverables in line with business objectives.\nDrives efforts to meet operational, functional, and business objectives within the team, directly contributing to departmental outcomes and success.\nLeads specific components of smaller, less complex projects or manages streamlined processes to achieve project goals.\nCreate a comprehensive project plan with a detailed schedule, breaking the implementation into manageable tasks with outlined dependencies and milestones.\nMonitor implementation progress to ensure adherence to the schedule and timely delivery of outputs.\nEngage regularly with stakeholders to align implementation goals with their expectations.\nEnsure thorough documentation and communication of the approach scope, and timeline to all relevant parties.\nLeadership and Implementation Coordination\nStrong leadership and coordination are essential responsibilities for an Implementation Manager. The Implementation Manager must concentrate on detailed planning and efficient task delegation.\nLead implementation kickoffs, clearly communicating scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.\nClearly define roles and responsibilities for implementation project team members and ensure accountability in timely milestone and task fulfillment.\nManage collaboration between teams to maintain alignment with implementation objectives ensuring timely delivery and alignment with implementation goals.\nEffectively communicates with team members and cross-functional colleagues, explaining and interpreting implementation-related information.\nDrives process and procedure enhancements to improve team performance and overall implementation efficiency.\nMonitor team performance against the implementation plan to ensure timely and quality task completion.\nIdentify and resolve team conflicts or bottlenecks to maintain progress.\nFacilitate comprehensive lessons learned sessions at the conclusion of each implementation.\nStakeholder Management\nEffective stakeholder management is an essential responsibility for an Implementation Manager. The Implementation Manager must utilize structured communication and formal agreements.\nIdentify key stakeholders, clients, and internal teams, and assess their influence on the implementation.\nCreate and implement a communication plan to keep stakeholders informed of progress, decisions, changes, and issues.\nEngage stakeholders to clarify their requirements and ensure they are accurately reflected in the implementation scope.\nCommunicate progress, challenges, and changes early and clearly to manage stakeholder expectations.\nLead stakeholder meetings to discuss status, gather feedback, and address concerns.\nProactively resolve stakeholder issues to meet their needs and maintain alignment.\nRisk Mitigation, Resolution of Issues or Blockers\nEffective risk mitigation and the ability to resolve issues or blockers is a critical responsibility for an Implementation Manager. The Implementation Manager must proactively identify, assess, and plan for potential risks early in the implementation lifecycle.\nProactively identify, document, and address risks and issues throughout the implementation. Assess their potential impact on implementation success.\nKeep stakeholders informed on risks and mitigation efforts for transparency and alignment.\nMaintain an updated risk and issue log, assigning responsibilities and tracking the effectiveness of mitigation strategies.\nFoster a culture of open communication, encouraging the team to identify and share risks.\nTackles challenging problems that require evaluating multiple factors, often impacting several teams or the entire department.\nDocument risks and resolutions, recording lessons learned for future implementations.\nCommunication Approach and Reporting\nEffective communication planning and reporting are fundamental responsibilities for an Implementation Manager. The Implementation Manager must develop a comprehensive communication plan early in the implementation which outlines the frequency, format, and distribution of updates to various stakeholders.\nDefine and implement objectives and key results to track implementation progress against goals and milestones.\nCreate, update, and share regular status reports with stakeholders (including clients), which professionally summarize updates, challenges, and upcoming milestones.\nOrganize meetings with stakeholders and team members to review progress, address challenges, and adjust plans as needed.\nMaintain accurate documentation, ensuring all plans, schedules, and reports are current and easily accessible.\nKeep stakeholders informed about implementation status, progress, and any changes to scope, timeline, or resources.\nProvide regular updates to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the implementation lifecycle.\nInfluence team members within the department on operational strategies, practices, and methodologies, shaping implementation execution and promoting best practices.\nTrack the completion of milestones and deliverables to ensure the implementation stays on schedule.\nCollect data on implementation performance, including time, cost, and quality, to evaluate overall progress and identify issues.\nIdentify deviations from the implementation plan and develop corrective actions to get the implementation back on track.\nQualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA):\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nBachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, Finance, Communications or Marketing preferred.\n5-7 years of work-related experience.\nExperience in leading and motivating teams.\nSkilled in effectively delegating tasks and enabling team members to take ownership.\nProficient in managing/negotiating conflicts within teams and with stakeholders.\nCertified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification required within 6 months of hire.\n1+ years of project management, or related, experience required.\nProject Management Professional Certification preferred.\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
