The GSOC Operator is responsible for using security best practices to identify, analyze, and support all events and incidents that impact or potentially could impact Open Text operations, facilities, and employees. The GSOC Operator is responsible for monitoring multiple security network systems to coordinate responses to all safety and security incidents. In addition to monitoring security systems, the GSOC Operator is required to properly provide timely and accurate reports/information to Security Management of all life safety events, and guide and assist business clients during emergency and non-emergency events.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nAlarm Monitoring: Operators monitor all physical security equipment on a global basis to ensure the physical security of all employees, contingents, and office spaces\nAccess Management: Operators manage day to day access to all company facilities, ensuring compliance with customer, auditorial, and company policy\nCCTV System: Operators manage the companies CCTV system and process video footage request\nProvide access management to all company facilities\nConduct alarm monitoring for Open Text facilities\nManage all video footage requests in accordance with company policy\nManage all access report requests in accordance with company policy\nNotify the appropriate personnel in an emergency\nNotify, direct, and assist emergency personnel in the event of an emergency\nLiaison between clients, other departments, and company leadership during an emergency\nDirecting visitors to the appropriate areas\nMonitor and control removal of company and personal property\nReport all building utility/ service issues as observed and instructed to facilities\nManage the day-to-day requirements for the Companies Anti-tailgating program\nEvaluate and recommend improved procedural safety/security protocols or processes\nDisplay exceptional customer service and communication skills\nRespond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner\nConduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site\nWork flexible schedules, including some nights\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nLicensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment\nWork experience must include of the following:\nDemonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills and ability to expertly prepare reports\nAbility to use logic and reasoning to reach conclusions and approaches to problems\nDemonstrated high level of competency with advanced computer systems (e.g., hardware, software, and networks)\nPossession of highly proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications\nAbility to communicate effectively with IT and Security Systems professionals\nDemonstrated ability to operate radio, telephone equipment and/or console monitors\nFlexibility to work various shifts and willingness to assist the team when needed\nAbility to adapt to a dynamic environment and work under pressure\nComfortable in an environment where there is an expectation for constant learning\nEffective oral and written communication skills\nActive listening skills\nAbility to assess and evaluate situations effectively\nAbility to identify critical issues quickly and accurately\nAttention to detail\nProblem solving skills\nCompile, sort, and interpret data\nIdentify critical issues quickly and accurately\nEncourage effective teamwork\nMediate conflict with tact, diplomacy\nHandle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nCollege degree, or actively enrolled in college, with a focus on Criminal Justice or other protective service-related field of study\nBENEFITS:\nMedical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance\nEnrollment in our company’s 401(k)plan, subject to eligibility requirements\nSeven holidays annually paid at time and a half, if worked\n40 hours of vacation after one year of employment at eligible work assignments.
