The GSOC Operator is responsible for using best practices to identify, analyze, and support all incidents that are either impactful or potentially impactful to business, assets, the brand and/or employees and visitors. This position is responsible for using established protocols and good decision making in taking actions and communicating information surrounding events and actions taken for those incidents to leadership as appropriate. The GSOC Operator will monitor cameras and various alarms/alerts, dispatch associated response personnel, and answer calls via telephone, operate access control technology, and provide general assistance to both employees and guests. The GSOC operator supports headquarters, branch/operating offices, and field teams as they prepare for, respond to, and recover from both crisis and non-crisis incidents and events of various types.\nPay: $18.50 per hour\nShift Available:\nHybrid (7pm-3am)\nThis position may require working on holidays if they fall on your regularly scheduled workdays. This is a full time, in office role that requires weekends.\nMandatory Paid Training Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm for the first two weeks\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nAnswer routine and emergency calls, monitor traditional alarms, video and access control and provide general assistance according to customer specific protocols\nDispatch security officers, emergency response teams (ERT), facilities, police, fire, and emergency medical service (EMS) personnel as required via telephone and/or email communications\nCommunicate and disperse information, using established communication vehicles to key partners using best practices\nEscalating complaints and unusual/critical event information to the Shift Supervisor, Manager, and other leadership personnel as directed\nReport any missing, damaged, or inoperative equipment or communications, alarm, video management system, or other systems\nRespond to customer requests for maintenance, etc.\nEnsure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures for specific locations\nDocument and maintain various forms of detailed records of activities and communications as they occur during the shift\nQUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):\nHigh school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED)\nMinimum of two (2) years of experience in law enforcement, security, military, or emergency dispatching\nMinimum of two (2) years of experience controlling cameras and responding to alarms with one (1) year in a security setting\nAbility to identify a problem, apply security training and procedures and execute said procedures\nDemonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines\nProficient in all Microsoft Office applications\nAble to demonstrate good independent judgment and discretion\nOutstanding oral and written communication skills; able to read and interpret documents such as security logs, post orders, and other security correspondence\nAble to speak, read, and write the English language fluently\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):\nCollege degree in criminal justice\nSecurity Operations Center experience\nBENEFITS:\nMedical, dental, vision, retirement plan, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance\nEight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal days\nVacation time is offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly.
