That’s why we created the Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.\nAs a SecurityGuard Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Driver Threat Recognition in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.\nPay Rate: $22.00 / Hour\nJob Schedule:\nDayTimeSun03:00 PM - 11:30 PMHow This Role Works:\n Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.\nEarn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.\nThis role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.\nResponsibilities:\nProvide customer service to clients, customers, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.\nConduct regular and random armed patrols of the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter.\nMonitor for unusual activity, policy violations, hazards, and other security-related concerns, and report observations according to site procedures.\nRespond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate emergency personnel when needed.\nMaintain required reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.\nMinimum Requirements:\nPossess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security experience.\nA valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.\nA Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas.\nBe at least 21 years of age for armed roles.\nPossess a high school diploma or equivalent.\nAs a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.\nAllied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.\nAs a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.\nParticipate in industry-specific security training programs.\nLicensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.\nA valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.\nWhy Join Us:\nFlexible Scheduling: Choose from a variety of open shifts that align with your availability and lifestyle.\nCareer Growth: Clear path to full-time roles and ongoing advancement through paid training programs.\nSmart Tools: Access exclusive technology for real-time shift visibility and claiming.\n Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, retirement plans, and disability insurance; seven holidays annually paid at time and a half, if worked; 40 hours of vacation after one year of employment at eligible work assignments (unused vacation is only paid out where required by law).\nEmployee Perks: Enjoy discounts at restaurants, entertainment venues, and more through our perks program.\nClosing\nAllied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
