As a Security Guard - Loading Dock Part Time in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Using our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, you will work with a caring team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking offices, lobbies, ATM areas, parking locations, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and assist with directing visitors in accordance with site procedures.
Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence at the financial institution.

Minimum Requirements:

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
