Job Description

As a Security Officer Driver Entry Management in Kankakee, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and chemical processing location, you will manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a professional, welcoming environment. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and complete routine documentation. Pay Rate: $19.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to a chemical and industrial manufacturing location by verifying credentials, processing visitors, maintaining visitor records, and directing authorized personnel and deliveries.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, restricted areas, business operations, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Document daily activities, access-control events, incidents, and irregular conditions in clear and timely reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
