The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for the security of a high profile client’s facility, property, and surrounding campus for a designated shift. The Shift Supervisor performs general security duties as directed in the protection of persons and property and the enforcement of all applicable policies, rules, and regulations, as specified in post orders, and will deter criminal activity and misconduct.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nMake emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders\nProvide direction and instruction to subordinates regarding the performance of their duties\nCross-training officers to make them more versatile and run site efficiently\nMake productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management\nMake recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders\nMake recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under their direct supervision\nOversee staffing, scheduling and on-site training for security officer assigned to his/her shift.\nEnsure that contract required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met\nMaintain overtime to minimum or to a predefined level designated by Allied Universal®\nEnsure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and their job performance when assigned to his/her shift\nPerform other operations and related functions (e.g., payroll, review and maintain incident reports, assist in preparation of security surveys and post orders)\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nLicensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment\nCurrent and valid driver’s license\nMust possess one or more of the following: \nAssociate’s degree of higher in any discipline\nService in the active-duty military, military reserves, or National Guard\nService in auxiliary police or police cadets\nMinimum of one (1) year verifiable and successful security experiences\nMinimum of two (2) years of verifiable work experience demonstrating the following:\nExcellent customer service skills\nAbility to maintain poise and self-control during emergency situations\nCapability of understanding and applying written and verbal orders, and of composing reports\nEffective oral and written communication skills; write informatively, clearly, and accurately\nPlanning and organizing skills\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Applications\nProblem solving skills\nCoaching, mentoring, motivating skills\nActive listening skills\nEncourage effective teamwork\nAssess and evaluate situations effectively\nSynthesize facts, concepts, principles\nIdentify critical issues quickly and accurately\nCompile, sort, and interpret data\nResearch, investigate, compile information\nMediate conflict with tact, diplomacy\nSetting and achieving goals\nAttending to detail\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nExperience in Emergency Management Systems FEMA Incident Command Certification; ICO 100, 200, 300\nWorking knowledge of EMS protocols, Medical First Responder or Emergency Medical Technician\nBENEFITS:\nMedical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance\nCompany's retirement plans\nSeven holidays annually paid at time and a half, if worked\n40 hours of vacation after one year of employment at eligible work assignments; unused vacation is only paid out where required by law\nClosing\nAllied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
