This internship or Co-op experience as an analyst within our IT Security Operations team will provide you an opportunity to learn hands-on what it takes to protect an organization from cyber threats. You will be a member of a high-performance team, learning and working hands on with experienced professionals on the front line of cybersecurity. By the end of this cybersecurity internship program, you will gain significant knowledge on cyber security incident response, security architecture, and data protection.\nResponsibilities:\nWork closely with the Allison IT Security Operations Team responding to cyber security related threats we face daily. \nMonitor the Allison environment for security issues. \nInvestigate security cyber security related incidents. \nAssist with deployment of and operating security tools used to protect our systems and information infrastructure. \nDocument security incidents and assess the damage they cause. \nWork with security team to perform tests to uncover vulnerabilities within our environment. \nAssist in remediating detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard. \nStay current on IT security trends and news. \nDevelop company-wide best practices for cyber security. \nResearch security enhancements and make recommendations to management.\nStay current on information technology trends and security standards.\nEducation Requirement:\nCollege undergraduate or graduate status with 1-3 years at an accredited college or university, pursing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Networking and Security, Computer Information Technology, or related field.\nRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nNo experience requirement - current enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate program with a preferred emphasis in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Networking and Security, Computer Information Technology, or related field.\nStrong desire to learn about Cyber Security and Information Technology and ability to work in a team environment.\nStrong communication (written and verbal), problem-solving, and decision-making skills\nProficiency with computer operation, including Microsoft Office tools.\nDemonstrated knowledge of basic Cyber Security and/or Information Technology concepts corresponding with school year.\nPrimary Location:\nIndianapolis, INAdditional Locations:\nAllison Transmission is an equal opportunity employer.
