The Manager directly oversees one or more salaried supervisors with indirect management over a large group of hourly employees. The Manager is accountable for all production processes to be adhered to and continuously improve the performance in area of scope.\nKey Responsibilities:\nParticipates in the selection, training, and development of new employees.\nCoach, develop, and support team members\nManages personnel, material, and equipment safely and effectively.\nMeets production cost, schedules, and quality requirements through the utilization of established manufacturing processes and methods.\nFacilitates floor operations and removes barriers for supervisors and hourly employees to meet measurable objectives.\nImplements and maintains Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). \nOperator Autonomous Maintenance execution, follow up and improvement.\nEngagement on machine condition continuous improvement\nLead OEE improvement across all areas\nServe as a leader, trainer, and coach of lean and TPM principles.\nExemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.\nComplies with the terms of the labor agreement.\nKey Performance Measures:\nSafety\nProductivity\nQuality\nResponsiveness\nCost\nQualifications:\nRequired:\nAssociate Degree and/or equivalent experience required\nExperience:\nRequired:\n3+ years prior Supervisory experience in manufacturing setting\nPreferred:\n5+ years prior Supervisory experience in manufacturing setting\nCompetencies and Behaviors:\nKnowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.\nOral and written communication skills.\nKnowledge of basic technology of area where assigned.\nKnowledge of scheduling and other management systems.\nAnalytical ability for solving complex problems.\nInterpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees and elicit work output.\nKnowledge of safety and environmental practices.\nKnowledge of quality control procedures.\nStrong computer skills.\nAbility to adapt to changes in responsibility based on business needs.\nScope Factors:\nFirst Level Manager: Leads a department, area, brand, or team.\nManages lower-level supervisors or team of professional/technical employees .\nFrequently interacts with direct leadership and with peers of the same level or lower.
