Apply today and join our team!\nKey Responsibilities\nAnalyze software behavior to find root cause and suggest corrective actions for unexpected or unacceptable operation.\nReverse-engineer legacy code and architecture for the purposes of commonization across powertrain solutions.\nDesign, develop, test and document embedded control system software on top of which Powertrain applications will be built focusing on:Control Module Hardware-Software Interface (HSI) and Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL)\nRTOS and RTE configuration\nNon-Volatile Memory Management\nControl Module Initialization & Shutdown\n\nPerform functional testing, integration testing, and system verification within lab, vehicle, test cell, and HIL/SIL environments.\nDevelop automated tests within HIL and SIL environments for use within Continuous Integration (CI) pipeline.\nWork with/in cross-functional engineering teams of Systems, Software, Algorithm, Calibration, and Validation engineers to develop existing and new products.\nDescribe & present work results to peers and leadership as needed.\nConduct design and implementation reviews.\nMentor engineers to grow depth of capability across the team.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMaster’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.\nExperience\nRequired Experience:\n15+ years of automotive engineering experience developing C and C++ real-time embedded controls.\nExperience with Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and Cyber Security (ISO 21434)\nAbility to develop automated test & evaluation scripts in Python.\nDemonstrated, hands-on experience with design, implementation, problem solving, and validating complex control software for embedded systems.\nExperience with integration and diagnostics of control modules, sensors, and actuators within embedded control systems.\nExperience using Visual Studio or VS Code Integrated Development Environment (IDE).\nExperience with GitHub for software version control & change management.\nExperience with software quality processes & tools, such as CMMI, SPICE, AutoSAR.\nPreferred Experience:\nISO 26262 Certification.\nISO 21434 Certification.\nAllison Transmission is an equal opportunity employer.
