ALLO OSP Techs understand how their role directly impacts ALLO growth and by meeting timely deliverables with high standards, they will ensure that customer needs and company goals can be met. ALLO OSP Techs will work closely with Leadership and Subject Matter Experts in their assigned content areas to stay current with procedures and processes.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Install/blow locate string line in underground conduit systems\nUse motorized equipment to pull fiber cable/MST’s through underground conduit systems\nExcavate with shovels\nRestore disturbed soil/ grass/landscaping\nVerify accuracy and document any discrepancies or fiber changes relating to the installation of string, multi-service terminals (MSTs) or cable\nPrepare all field reports relating to work accomplished accurately and timely\nOperate and maintain company owned vehicles, complete driver logs and vehicle documents\nOperate hydraulic aerial lifts (buckets) and climb ladders\nSplice all fiber counts to 864F and multiple MSTs in all enclosures\nUpdate splice documentation\nUse SmartSheets\nSet up of aerial and underground splice points to include taping, directional marking, grounding, cable management tray installation, hanging cases and securing in vault\nUnderstand basic knowledge of aerial and underground cable and MST installation\nTest fiber in the field\nTroubleshoot with test equipment: power meter, VFL, traffic identifier\nPerform basic underground plant maintenance\nCoordinate and oversee vehicle, trailer, and equipment maintenance as needed\nMaintain clean driving record\nLocate fiber - complete Fiber Locating Course (market dependent)\nPerform QA/QC of network facilities\nWork overtime as needed; may be required to work long hours during emergency situations including after-hours restorations\nPerform other duties as assigned\nEDUCATION:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nEXPERIENCE:\n1 year telecommunication experience preferred\nSKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:\nService Excellence\nOral communications\nWritten communications\nWork with SmartSheets and Excel spreadsheets\nManage multiple priorities\nDecision making\nCritical thinking\nHigh energy\nEngaging demeanor\nREQUIREMENTS:\nRaise objects up to 50 lbs\nRemain upright on feet for extended periods\nRemain stationary for extended periods\nAbility to communicate information\nAbility to crouch and crawl\nMove on foot up to 10 miles per day\nAbility to bend, kneel, and stand\nAbility to crawl in tight spaces\nAbility to ascend/descend a ladder\nAbility to carry tools and equipment\nAbility to operate a computer\nAbility to observe details at far range\nAbility to operate hand tools and equipment\nAbility to operate machinery\nAbility to work in outdoor weather\nIdentify different colors\nDOT Physical/Certification\nPossess a valid driver's license\nTravel up to 50%\nPeople are our passion.
