We’re scaling what we do with the best builders, operators, and craftspeople in the world.\nRole Overview\nAlloy River acquires accounting firms and runs them on our platform. This role runs month-end close for those clients, works alongside them through deployment, and brings the accounting judgment that shapes what we build next. You'll close the books, map how each client's business actually runs, and help decide which features we build to make our work better and faster each month. For the right person, it is a rare path from running the close to shaping the software that automates it. We’ll help you build strong AI and product fluency along the way.\nWhat You'll Work On\nRun month-end close for clients, some on our platform and some on legacy ledgers.\n\nWork with clients to map their processes and systems.\n\nTurn what you learn into clear, repeatable SOPs.\n\nInfluence the product roadmap and what features we build.\n\nMaintain our platform dashboards and find where gross margin can be unlocked.\n\nPerform variance analysis and explain what the numbers are saying.\n\nHandle ad hoc requests from clients.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nCPA designation.\n\n4+ years of accounting experience.\n\nHands-on experience running month-end close and variance analysis.\n\nExperience mapping financial processes and systems, such as SOPs, process maps, close checklists, or systems inventories.\n\nStrong relationship skills. You'll lead conversations with clients and firm owners.\n\nA real drive to improve processes, not just run them.\n\nHigh work ethic.\n\nBonus experience includes:\nExperience implementing or migrating accounting systems.\n\nExperience with QuickBooks Online or Xero.\n\nHow We Work\nYou'll report to our Head of Deployment and work closely with her from day one.\n\nYour time splits between month-end close, client deployments, and platform work.\n\nYou don't need to be AI-forward yet.
