Comprehensive, generous benefits provided along with 3 weeks of paid-time-off annually!\nThe Equipment Technician will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and inspection of industrial machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This role will require the ability to perform tasks such as cutting, welding, and fabricating new parts, as well as assembling equipment to meet operational requirements.\nRESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES\nRepair or maintain the operating condition of industrial machinery or equipment.\n\nRepair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment.\n\nDisassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs.\n\nObserve and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using testing devices.\n\nReassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.\n\nClean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery.\n\nExamine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear.\n\nOperate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.\n\nAnalyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.\n\nRecord parts or materials used and order or requisition new parts or materials as necessary.\n\nRecord repairs and maintenance performed.\n\nStudy schematics or manufacturers' manuals to determine the correct installation or operation of machinery.\n\nCut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, or assemble new equipment.\n\nDemonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators.\n\nKeep rental area organized for inbound/outbound rental exchange.\n\nManage company-owned tool inventory.\n\nKeep the Service area safe and organized.\n\nPerform any other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.\n\nRequirements\nQUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS\nHigh school degree or GED\n\nCompletion of Trade School Certificate Program or Associates Degree preferred\n\nMust have knowledge of machines and tools, including machine and/or tool design, uses and maintenance requirements/history.\n\nMust be able to apply proper principles, techniques and procedures to the repair and maintenance of industrial machinery or equipment.\n\nMust be able to determine cause of operating errors and decide how to correct the issue(s).\n\nMust be able to discern what type and frequency of required maintenance is needed on industrial machinery or equipment.\n\nMust be able to perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.\n\nMust be able to interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers.\n\nMust be able to work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.\n\nWORK HOURS\nTypical Monday-Friday 8-5 office hours. Overtime and travel may be required as part of normal business operations.\nPHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT AND REQUIREMENTS\nExposure to the Warehouse/Operations areas where certain areas may require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection is common.\nExposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration is common.\nExposure to outdoor elements such as heat, cold and rain is common.\nIndividuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting up to 55lbs as required.
