We are looking for an engineer with experience in Windows and Linux administration, infrastructure automation, virtualisation, backup, and disaster recovery.\n\nIf you enjoy improving reliability, automating infrastructure, and working with modern technologies in an international environment, we would like to hear from you.\n\nYour role\n\nAs an IT Systems Engineer, you will design, implement, automate, and support core infrastructure services across Allseas.\n\nYou will collaborate closely with the Cyber Security, Connectivity, and Digital Platform teams to ensure our infrastructure is secure, connected, automated, and fit for the future. Working across traditional infrastructure and modern platform technologies, you will help deliver reliable services, improve operational efficiency, and accelerate automation across the organisation.\n\nKey responsibilities:\n\n Manage and optimise Windows Server, Linux, and Proxmox VE environments.\n\n Automate infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting.\n\n Develop and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines and CI/CD workflows.\n\n Manage core infrastructure services, including domain controllers, PKI, DNS, and DHCP.\n\n Implement and support backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.\n\n Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve infrastructure performance and availability.\n\n Maintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.\n\n Participate in on-call support for critical infrastructure services.\n\nWhat we expect from you\n\n A bachelor’s degree (HBO/BSc) in Information Technology or a related field.\n\n Experience with Windows Server, Linux, and virtualisation platforms such as Proxmox VE.\n\n Experience with infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code, preferably using Terraform and Ansible.\n\n Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.\n\n Experience with backup and recovery solutions and knowledge of disaster recovery and high availability.\n\n Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.\n\n Strong troubleshooting and communication skills, combined with a proactive mindset and passion for automation.\n\n Willingness to travel and work offshore when required.\n\nNice to have\n\n Experience with Kubernetes, container platforms, or enterprise storage solutions.\n\n Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and infrastructure hardening.\n\n Experience supporting globally distributed operations.\n\n Relevant Microsoft, Azure, Linux, Terraform, Ansible, or Veeam certifications.\n\nWhat we offer\n\nJoining Allseas gives you the chance to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment, with creative thinking, collaboration and a down-to-earth culture at its core.
