You will take a leading role in the engineering of graphite as well as the definition, specification, and qualification of graphite materials and components for the HTGR core and related systems.\n\nKey responsibilities\n\n Co-design the reactor internals;\n\n Interpret simulations and use this to optimize the design;\n\n Define and develop graphite specifications;\n\n Assess graphite behaviour under irradiation, oxidation, thermal cycling, and mechanical loading;\n\n Lead material selection and qualification processes;\n\n Develop and review test programs;\n\n Ensure alignment with nuclear codes and standards;\n\n Support safety analyses;\n\n Interface with multidisciplinary engineering teams.\n\nWhat we expect from you\n\n MSc or PhD in relevant field;\n\n Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience;\n\n Expertise in graphite behaviour under irradiation and high temperature;\n\n Expertise in graphite interactions with other materials;\n\n Experience with material qualification programs;\n\n Strong analytical skills;\n\n Familiarity with nuclear safety frameworks;\n\n Excellent communication skills.\n\nWhat we offer\n\nJoin us at the forefront of innovation and contribute to the development of first-of-a-kind nuclear technology.
