The programme brings together engineering, construction and testing activities in a complex, multidisciplinary development environment. We are looking for a technically oriented Assistant Project Manager who can connect these workstreams and help turn plans into coordinated execution.\n\nYour role\n\nAs Technical Assistant Project Manager, you will support the Project Manager in preparing, maintaining and coordinating an experimental project plan. You will be a central interface between programme partners and the internal engineering, construction and testing teams. Your focus is on structure, integration and follow-through: ensuring that activities, dependencies, deliverables and reporting remain aligned across the programme.\n\nKey responsibilities\n\n Project planning: Develop, maintain and coordinate the integrated project plan, including activities, milestones, dependencies, deliverables and decision points.\n\n Technical coordination: Translate technical input into clear actions and planning requirements, and connect interfaces between engineering disciplines, construction and testing.\n\n Programme interfaces: Coordinate with programme partners and internal stakeholders, align expectations and inputs, and ensure that agreements and follow-up actions are clearly documented.\n\n Progress monitoring: Track progress against the plan, identify deviations or emerging constraints, and support the team in defining practical recovery or mitigation actions.\n\n Meetings and actions: Prepare and coordinate project meetings, maintain decision and action registers, and follow up owners and due dates.\n\n Reporting: Consolidate technical and project information into accurate, structured progress reports for internal and programme reporting.\n\n Risk and change coordination: Support the identification and management of technical, schedule and interface risks, and maintain visibility of changes that may affect project scope or delivery.\n\nWhat we expect from you\n\nYou combine a sound technical foundation with the ability to create overview, connect people and communicate clearly. You are analytical, organised and comfortable working across several technical interfaces at the same time.\n\n A Master’s degree in engineering or another relevant technical discipline.\n\n A minimum of three years of relevant work experience in technical project coordination, project engineering, project management or a comparable role.\n\n Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand dependencies across multidisciplinary technical workstreams.\n\n Experience developing or maintaining project plans and coordinating activities, milestones, actions and deliverables.\n\n Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, construction and testing teams, programme partners and management.\n\n A structured and proactive working style, with attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.\n\n The ability to convert complex input into concise plans, decisions and reports.\n\n Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.\n\nWhat we offer\n\nThis position offers the opportunity to work at the centre of a technically ambitious nuclear development programme.
