As part of a firmwide initiative to modernize investment technology platforms and data solutions, you will design, develop, and support enterprise-grade Python applications that enable investment, operations, and technology teams across the organization.\nWe currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 4 days per week.\nLocation(s): Milwaukee, WI\nResponsibilities\nSolution Development\nDesign, develop, and implement scalable Python-based applications and services.\nBuild high-performance, multi-threaded and multi-process applications.\nDevelop and maintain RESTful APIs and integration services.\nCreate analytical and reporting solutions using Streamlit, Plotly, Bokeh, and Matplotlib.\nIntegrate applications with cloud services and enterprise systems.\nCollaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Data Engineering & Analytics\nDesign and optimize data models and database structures.\nDesign and implement data ingestion, transformation, and distribution pipelines.\nProcess and analyze large datasets using Pandas and NumPy.\nBuild monitoring and data quality controls.\nSupport analytical and quantitative initiatives.Maintenance and Support\nMonitor and maintain production applications.\nTroubleshoot application, integration, and data issues.\nImplement performance tuning and optimization.\nParticipate in incident response and continuous improvement.SDLC\nParticipate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and Jira tracking.\nCollaborate with business analysts, project managers, and developers.\nDevelop automated testing and deployment pipelines.\nCreate and maintain technical documentation.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Physics, or related discipline.\n3-5 years of professional software development experience with Python.\nExperience designing enterprise-grade Python applications.\nExperience building APIs, data processing solutions, and integration services.\nExperience working within Agile delivery teams.\nPython 3.10+ with strong OOP and design patterns experience.\nExperience building multi-threaded and multi-process applications.\nExpertise with Pandas and NumPy.\nExperience with Matplotlib, Plotly, Bokeh, and/or Streamlit.\nStrong SQL skills with PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Snowflake.\nFamiliarity with NoSQL databases.\nExperience building and consuming RESTful APIs.\nFastAPI experience\nExperience with Swagger/OpenAPI and Postman.\nAWS familiarity - ECS Tasks, EC2, Lambda, IAM roles, Monitoring\nTesting frameworks including pytest.\nGIT and collaborative development workflows\nCI/CD tools such as Jenkins.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.\nAbility to work at a computer and use standard business software for extended periods during the workday.\nCommunicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and business partners in person and electronically as needed.\nEngage in regular in-person interaction and collaboration with team members and other stakeholders.\nWork effectively in a professional office environment with ongoing collaboration, activity, and shifting priorities.\nMaintain productivity and focus while balancing multiple tasks and interruptions common in an in-person business setting.\nPreferred Qualifications\nQuantitative finance concepts including risk metrics, performance attribution, and valuation models.\nExperience building ETL pipelines for market and reference data.\nKnowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.\nExperience integrating with Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, or Dataverse.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.\n Please note: This position does not offer sponsorship for employment visas.
