Which is pretty cool, if you ask us.\nThe Role\nThe Arity - Infrastructure Software Engineer Intern will serve as a member of a product/infrastructure team. They practice and are the champions of the Scrum methodology in a cloud environment with a product mindset within each product team.\nJob Description\nParticipates in iteration planning meetings ensuring that the team has a common understanding of each story and chores in a team’s backlog \nParticipates in daily site, cross-site, and product team standups \nParticipates in retrospectives to gather feedback and derive actionable items to improve the team and the product \nParticipate in executing the strategy, keeping the customer needs and wants in mind \nCollaborates within the team in designing systems and apps \nPractices daily paired programming and test-driven development in writing software and building products \nEstablishes continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines and practices \nProvides support for software products in user environments \nWorking with geographically disbursed team across multiple time-zones \nJob Qualifications\nTarget Start Date: May/June 2027 \nRising Sophomore, Junior or Senior \nWorking towards a Bachelor's in Engineering, Computer Science or similar field, including a solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals \nStrong understanding of computer science concepts, object-oriented design principles \nKnowledge of developing software in different programming languages, and demonstrated ability to quickly learn new languages \nKnowledge and experience on approaches and tools for automated testing and monitoring \nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with Java, KOTLIN, GO or Scala and Python \nExperience with the Spring framework with Java or Kotlin \nBackend development, design and implementation; database (relational like Postgres, NoSQL like Cassandra, caching), messaging and big data development, implementation and optimization \nExperience and knowledge in web and API security including authentication, authorization, OAuth, OWASP, OpenID, and SAML \nExperience in testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine, Protractor, Cucumber, and other like technologies \nExperience with packaging/build tools like Gradle, Maven, NPM, Artifactory, Jenkins, Concourse, etc. \nExperience with Amazon Web Service components like (Lambdas, Athena, S3, EMR, Step functions, Route53, EC2, etc.,) \nExposure to cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or GCP (compute, storage, networking, IAM) \nFamiliarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar) \nScripting and automation experience in Python or Bash, with comfort working in Linux/Unix environments \nAt Arity, great things happen when our people work together.\nThat’s why when you join our team, we make sure it isn’t just a job - it’s an opportunity.
