This role will provide strategic guidance for technical and business teams on ingestion, integration, data visualization, and advanced analytics including generative AI, ultimately enabling our business to advance.\nThis role will focus on large scale data lake implementation and data lake house modernization through engagements that will focus on customer solutions such as data warehousing, business intelligence, and advanced analytics tools. You have experience leading cloud and data modernization initiatives, remain close to the technology, and can confidently communicate architectural strategy to both engineers and executives. You thrive in fast-changing environments and are passionate about the future of analytics, cloud, and AI.\nPrimary Responsibilities Include:\nDrive the evolution and data architecture for a scalable and secure data platform\nWork closely with business partners, architecture, security, and engineering teams to design and implement a modern data lake and lake house architecture\nEngage with strategic customers and ensure their future needs and vision are top of mind for a data-driven enterprise\nOversee deployment of long-term strategic data products and infusing key data and analytics services in applicable areas of business and IT\nBuild POC’s of cloud native microservices architecture for data with focus on IaaS, metadata driven frameworks and DevOps\nDesign and guide practices for data models, data flows, and integration patterns for the data lake, lake house , and consumption data layers\nSupport delivery leaders and engineers in building and managing conceptual, logical, and physical architecture\nCollaborate, design and provide hands-on development of high-priority prototypes in a cloud platform and demonstrate value and feasibility of the solutions and architecture\nBe involved in all project phases and drive architecture initiatives\nCommunication with senior and executive leadership on architecture initiatives\nStrong communicator individually, in groups and in presentations with a vision for how cloud data platforms can enable a better future powered by data\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience\nRich experience building POC’s with at least 1-2 successful adoptions across Enterprise\n10 to 15 years of experience in at least two IT disciplines such as data architecture, technical cloud architecture, analytics & data science, big data technologies, database management, data governance & security in a heterogeneous environment.\n5+ years of hands-on experience in implementation and performance tuning MPP (Massively Parallel Processing) databases (Oracle Exadata, Teradata, Netezza, Greenplum, etc.)\nHands-on experience in lead roles architecting solutions at scale for cloud data platforms including experience with major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)\nExperience designing analytics environments for use with data visualization and model development tools and AI driven data agents\nHands-on experience with business intelligence tools (Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, etc.)\nExperience in analyzing Data Warehouses such as Teradata, Netezza, Oracle, etc.\nExperience in analyzing Cloud Data Warehouses such as AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, or Snowflake, etc.\nExperience designing database environments, analyzing production deployments, and making recommendations to optimize performance\nHands on experience architecting and building secure, scalable, and flexible enterprise data projects using AWS, Microsoft Fabric and other on-prem and cloud native platforms\nExpertise in building secure and scalable data ingestion, ETL/ELT solutions using various server-based and serverless tools\nExperience with data warehouse data structure and dimensional modeling and key definition with tools such as ERWIN or others\nExperience with data structures and models for a microservices environment, data lake and cloud lake houses and supporting downstream applications based on various modeling tools and platforms\nHands on experience in leading large-scale enterprise data warehousing (EDW) projects\nStrong SQL skills\nProduct development mindset and expertise in CI/CD pipeline\nExperience with big data platforms, SQL & no SQL databases\nLeadership & Communication:\nCollaborative influence, intellectual humility, and enterprise-first decision making; demonstrate intellectual curiosity and humility, balancing conviction with flexibility by considering alternative viewpoints and championing solutions that best serve organizational goals, regardless of origin\nExperience with prioritization of projects that mitigate trade-offs\nStrong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
