The Software Engineer Associate Manager develops test driven code all day and every day. They own and manage running their application in production and is accountable for the success of their digital products through achieving key performance indicators. The Software Engineer Associate Manager selects, leads, counsels, motivates, sets expectations and evaluates small to medium teams. Additionally, they advise direct reports on administrative policies and procedures, risks, issues, problem resolution, and priorities. This person assists in defining, implementing and prioritizing IT policies, procedures, and best practices. The Software Engineer Associate Manager influences team and business results.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead, coach, and develop a team of Workday integration engineers, establishing clear priorities, objectives, and engineering best practices, with support from Lead and Principal Engineers.\nOwn the design, development, deployment, and ongoing support of Workday integrations across Human Capital Management (HCM), Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Talent, Learning, and other Workday modules.\nDefine and implement enterprise integration strategies that support scalability, security, maintainability, and operational excellence.\nLead the delivery of complex integration initiatives involving Workday, middleware platforms, cloud services, APIs, and third-party vendors.\nEstablish engineering standards, governance processes, coding practices, and quality controls across the integration portfolio.\nPartner with HR Technology, Product Owners, Architects, and business stakeholders to translate business outcomes into technical solutions.\nEnsure integrations meet security, compliance, audit, and data governance requirements.\nDrive adoption of modern engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, observability, and Infrastructure as Code where appropriate.\nOversee production support processes, incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities.\nCollaborate with Workday product teams to leverage new capabilities and best practices.\nIn partnership with Digital Product Manager, develop integration roadmaps and support strategic initiatives including Workday releases, acquisitions, system migrations, and digital transformation programs.\n\nEssential Skills\n\nMinimum 10+ years of experience in Workday Studio and/or Orchestrate.\nExperience in Coaching and Mentoring junior engineers.\nProven experience leading the delivery of multiple enterprise integration projects from requirements through production deployment.\nDemonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, stakeholder expectations, and delivery timelines across complex technology initiatives.\nExperience designing and supporting inbound, outbound, and bi-directional integrations between Workday and enterprise applications.\nDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain production Workday integrations within a large-scale enterprise environment.\nExperience integrating Workday with enterprise systems such as HR platforms, identity solutions, payroll providers, benefits vendors, ERP systems, or data platforms.\nWorking knowledge of cloud integration and enterprise integration architecture principles.\nExperience implementing automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and support practices.\nStrong understanding of data transformation, error handling, integration security, and application lifecycle management.\n\nDesirable Skills\n\nKnowledge of Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or other modern delivery frameworks.\nKnowledge of identity management and HR-related security requirements including SSO, IAM, RBAC, and data protection controls.\nExperience with reporting, analytics, and workforce data integration solutions.\nExposure to generative AI, automation, or intelligent workflow technologies within HR and employee experience platforms.\nExperience supporting global HR organizations operating across multiple geographies and regulatory environments.\nExperience with Agentic AI.\nExposure to Workday Extend.\n\nLocation- Bangalore\n\nWork from Office (Hybrid)\n\nEducation - Any Graduates\n\nPrimary Skills\n\nSoftware Development\n\nShift Time\n\nRecruiter Info\n\nHiral Parag Rughani\n\n[HIDDEN TEXT]\n\nAbout Allstate\n\nJoining our team isn't just a job — it's an opportunity.
