We provide a range of expert services across the drug development lifecycle to pharmaceutical and biotech companies, supporting them in finding treatments for patients.\nDescription\nLocation: Charnwood\nHours: 37.5 Hours Per Week\nBusiness Unit: Central Services\nOpen To: Internal and External Applicants\nRef No: HRJOB12035\nThe Opportunity\nWe are delighted to offer an opportunity for an EC&I Engineer to join our Central Services team at our Charnwood site. In this role, you will support the specification, design, development, installation, testing and administration of automation and control systems within a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment.\nYou will help ensure that systems operate efficiently, safely and in compliance with current Good Practice requirements. Alongside providing technical support at Charnwood, you will remotely support automation systems across Almac sites globally and contribute to the continued development of engineering standards and good practice.\nKey responsibilities include:\nProvide technical support for new and existing automation systems.\nManage the specification, design and implementation of building automation and process control solutions in hazardous and non-hazardous areas.\nAssess and manage system upgrades, patching and modifications through the relevant change control process.\nCommission automation systems and manage identified deficiencies through to completion.\nProvide technical training to operations, engineering and maintenance colleagues.\nCoordinate contractors and work with IS/IT colleagues to manage system interfaces.\nIdentify new technologies that could deliver business benefit and support the development of Almac EC&I and automation standards.\nJoining Almac means becoming part of a fast-paced, growing organisation within a highly regulated industry.
