This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting global pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients by developing and validating analytical methods that help bring life-changing medicines to patients around the world.\nAs a Senior Analytical Chemist, you will work on a wide range of projects involving active pharmaceutical ingredients, drug products and reference standards. Your day-to-day activities will include developing and validating analytical methods, interpreting scientific data, troubleshooting technical challenges and collaborating with colleagues and clients to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, accuracy and regulatory compliance.\nThis role offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects, provide technical leadership and mentor less experienced scientists, while working within a collaborative and highly skilled team environment.\nKey responsibilities include:\nDeveloping and validating analytical methods using techniques such as High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC) and Gas Chromatography (GC)\nInterpreting scientific data, identifying trends and solving technical challenges\nPlanning and managing project activities to meet customer timelines and deliverables\nPreparing high-quality reports and technical documentation\nSupporting client interactions, audits and customer visits\nMentoring and training junior team members\nMaintaining compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements and company procedures\nDriving continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to technical discussions across the department\nJoining Almac means becoming part of a fast-paced, growing organisation within a highly regulated industry. More information can be found here; Life at Almac - Almac.\nWhat you need to be successful\nTo be considered for this opportunity, you should hold a degree in an Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry or related scientific discipline (or possess equivalent experience), together with previous laboratory experience in an analytical environment.\nWe are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:\nPrevious experience working in a laboratory environment\nStrong understanding of analytical chemistry techniques and scientific problem solving\nExperience with analytical method development, validation or troubleshooting\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities\nA commitment to quality, accuracy and regulatory compliance\nThe ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment\nDesirable criteria:\nPostgraduate qualification in a relevant scientific discipline\nExperience working within a GMP or GLP regulated environment\nExperience supporting method development and validation programmes\nApplicants must have eligibility to work in the UK/IE with no restrictions OR possess a valid work permit that will allow you to take up full time employment in the UK/IE.\nFurther information\nFurther information on the essential and desirable criteria required for this role can be found in the Job Description attached to this advert.\nThis position offers the opportunity to join a highly experienced analytical team supporting innovative pharmaceutical development projects for clients around the world.
