This hands-on role is central to the safe receipt, storage, transfer and dispatch of active pharmaceutical ingredients, drug products and other regulated materials within a computerised warehouse environment.\nYou will help maintain inventory accuracy and product integrity across the supply chain, while coordinating routine warehouse activities and acting as the senior warehouse representative during assigned shifts. The role also includes local inter-site transport using temperature-controlled company vehicles, with full responsibility for safety, traceability and accurate documentation. No previous HGV driving experience is required, as full HGV training and support will be provided on the job.\nKey responsibilities include:\nManaging the compliant receipt, storage, issue, transfer and dispatch of pharmaceutical materials.\nCompleting warehouse and inventory transactions accurately using warehouse management, inventory control or ERP systems.\nMaintaining material traceability, stock accuracy and appropriate storage conditions in line with Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Distribution Practice.\nOperating company HGV vehicles for local inter-site deliveries and completing vehicle, temperature-monitoring and transport documentation.\nOperating forklift trucks and material-handling equipment safely following the required training and site procedures.\nProviding day-to-day guidance to Warehouse Operators and supporting effective shift handovers, onboarding and training.\nIdentifying and contributing to improvements across warehouse, inventory, transport and logistics processes.\nJoining Almac means becoming part of a fast-paced, growing organisation within a highly regulated industry. More information can be found on the Life at Almac section of our careers website.\nWhat you need to be successful\nTo be considered for this opportunity, you should be comfortable working independently in a regulated warehouse or logistics environment, following procedures accurately and maintaining high standards of safety, quality and documentation.\nEssential criteria:\n5 GCSEs, or equivalent, at grades A-C, or significant previous experience in a senior warehouse operator role.\nA full UK driving licence.\nWillingness and ability to obtain and maintain the HGV licence and associated professional qualifications required to operate the company fleet within 12 months of appointment, or another timeframe agreed by the company. No previous HGV driving experience is required, as full training and support will be provided on the job.\nPrevious experience in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment.\n• Experience working independently in a regulated environment and following procedures accurately.\nDay-to-day experience using warehouse management, computerised inventory control or ERP systems, including maintaining inventory accuracy and completing controlled documentation and material transactions.\nGood communication and teamwork skills, strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail, and an understanding of safe material-handling practices.\nThe ability to plan and prioritise, make sound operational decisions under pressure and manage a varied workload with changing demands.\nDesirable criteria include a forklift truck licence or certification and previous experience within a GMP, GDP, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device or healthcare environment.
