Job Overview

You will be responsible for recording daily financial transactions, handling accounts payable and receivable cycles, preparing financial analysis and reports, assisting with budgeting and audit preparations, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and making recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures, including preparing monthly bank reconciliations.

As the General Accountant, you will be in charge of:

• Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper approvals.
• Prepare and process vendor payments in a timely manner.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of all Accounts Payable transactions.
• Prepare and issue customer invoices.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer payments.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
• Prepare and post journal entries accurately.
• Perform regular account reconciliations, including bank and credit card accounts.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare and maintain proper supporting documentation for all journal entries and accounting transactions.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Assist in preparing and filing various tax returns, including sales tax and income tax.
• Stay up to date with relevant accounting regulations, standards, and best practices.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; English Section is required.
• Professional financial certifications are a plus (e.g., CMA, FMA, IFRS).
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a General Accountant.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software; NetSuite experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office and accounting systems.
• Fluent English is required.
