Axol is a dual-arm robot designed for real-world deployment. We’re looking for an Assembly Technician to help us build, test, and ship robots to customers.\nThis role sits at the core of the company. You’ll be assembling the actual systems that go out into the world, working closely with engineering to improve reliability, speed, and quality.\nWhat you’ll do\nAssemble Axol robots, including mechanical structures, wiring, and enclosures\nPerform bring-up, testing, and basic debugging of robot systems\nFollow and improve assembly procedures, work instructions, and checklists\nIdentify and flag issues during builds (fit, tolerance, wiring, reliability)\nWork closely with engineers to iterate on designs\nSupport prototyping, rework, and small-batch production builds\nHelp manage parts, tools, and build organization on the floor\nTrack, audit, and manage inventory levels to ensure accuracy.\nEvaluate current processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency\nAt minimum, you should have\n1-3+ years of hands-on assembly or technician experience (robotics, hardware, automotive, aerospace, or similar)\nStrong mechanical intuition and attention to detail\nExperience with hand tools, fasteners, torque specs, and basic fabrication\nComfort working with wiring, connectors, and cable routing\nAbility to debug issues and follow problems through to resolution\nWillingness to work onsite and move quickly in a fast-paced environment\nNice to have\nExperience with crimping, harnessing and coating.\nExperience assembling robots, electromechanical systems, or automation equipment\nFamiliarity with test equipment (multimeter, power supplies, etc.)\nExperience with low-volume manufacturing or production builds\nExposure to CAD or ability to read engineering drawings\nWhat we’re looking for\nHigh ownership: you care about the robot working in the field, not just on the bench\nSpeed & quality: you can move fast without breaking things\nStrong communication with engineers.
