Our diverse platforms and services are built to deliver enriching experiences that reflect the spirit of Saudi Arabia and the wider region.\nWe’re united by a bold vision:\nTo be the undisputed leader in travel services, fostering lasting connections and setting new benchmarks for excellence in the Kingdom and beyond.\nOur team across Saudi Arabia and the wider region blends deep cultural understanding with forward-thinking innovation, shaping a new standard for travel in the region.\nAbout the Job:\nWe are looking for a Specialist QA Backend Engineer to join our team in Dubai, with strong expertise in API testing and automation.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop and maintain automated test scenarios for backend/API testing.\n\nDevelop API automation using Java and REST Assured and perform API testing using Postman.\n\nLeverage AI-assisted tools for test case generation, automation, test data creation, defect analysis, and improving QA efficiency.\n\nParticipate in sprint planning and review requirements to ensure test coverage.\n\nCreate detailed and well-structured test plans and test cases.\n\nConvert manual regression scenarios to automated test cases.\n\nValidate API contracts, request/response payloads, authentication, authorization, and data integrity.\n\nEstimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities during the SDLC.\n\nEnsure automated tests are integrated and execute reliably in CI/CD environments.\n\nPerform functional, integration, regression, performance, and non-functional testing, including API performance/load testing where required.\n\nWork as a member of an Agile SCRUM team delivering high-quality software in two-week sprints.\n\nIdentify, troubleshoot, and document issues thoroughly during bug tracking.\n\nReview requirements and technical specifications to identify quality risks and ensure adequate test coverage.\n\nAbility to think outside-the-box for reproducing and re-creating complex issues.\n\nAbility to work independently and define QA activities within an Agile team.\n\nDocument software issues and assist development teams with clear and detailed steps to reproduce defects.\n\nProfile Requirements:\n4+ years of solid experience in Software Testing/QA, with strong backend/API testing experience.\n\nStrong proficiency in Java and experience with REST Assured for API automation testing.\n\nHands-on experience with Postman for API testing.\n\nStrong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON/XML, authentication, and API testing concepts.\n\nHands-on experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.\n\nExperience with performance/API load testing is a plus.\n\nKnowledge of SQL/database validation, microservices, API security, or contract testing is a plus.\n\nFamiliarity with AI-assisted development and testing tools for test generation, automation, test data, and defect analysis.\n\nStrong knowledge of Software QA methodologies, testing types, tools, and processes.\n\nStrong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.\n\nExperience with project tracking tools.\n\nTravel and Tourism experience is a plus.\n\nDegree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject\n\nBeing you @ Almosafer:\nAt Almosafer, our teams work with purpose, clarity, and a shared commitment to doing things the right way.\nWhether you're building platforms, supporting travelers, or shaping strategy, your work connects to something bigger.
