The Engineering Manager, DC is \nresponsible for leading the engineering and automation functions within the fulfillment center to ensure safe, reliable, \nand efficient operations. This role oversees automation systems, maintenance strategies, process improvements, \ncapital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives that support operational performance and business goals. \nThe Engineering Manager partners closely with Operations, Safety, IT, Facilities, and Maintenance teams to \nmaximize equipment uptime, improve productivity, and drive operational excellence.\nRESPONSIBILITIES: \nLead and manage engineering, automation, and technical support functions within the fulfillment center. \nOversee maintenance and reliability strategies for automated material handling equipment and facility \nsystems. \nDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on: \no Throughput \no Equipment uptime \no Productivity \no Safety \no Cost reduction \no Quality improvement \nManage automation systems including conveyors, sortation systems, robotics, scanners, and warehouse \ncontrol systems. \nDevelop and monitor KPIs related to equipment reliability, downtime, preventive maintenance completion, \nand operational efficiency. \nLead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for major equipment failures and operational \ndisruptions. \nPartner with Operations leadership to support daily execution and peak planning activities. \nOversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs. \nManage engineering and capital improvement projects from planning through implementation. \nCoordinate with external vendors, contractors, and equipment manufacturers. \nEnsure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and engineering best practices. \nDevelop and maintain SOPs, engineering documentation, and maintenance procedures. \nSupport budgeting, forecasting, and expense management for engineering operations. \nRecruit, develop, coach, and manage engineering and technical team members. \nFoster a culture of accountability, safety, innovation, and continuous improvement. \nQUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, \nAutomation Engineering, or related field. \n5+ years of engineering or maintenance leadership experience in fulfillment, distribution, manufacturing, or \nlogistics environments. \nExperience managing automation systems and material handling equipment. \nStrong leadership and people management skills. \nKnowledge of PLCs, controls systems, conveyors, robotics, and industrial automation. \nExperience with reliability engineering and preventive maintenance programs. \nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and project management skills. \nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. \nExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. \nExperience in e-commerce or high-volume fulfillment operations. \nLean Six Sigma certification preferred. \nExperience with CMMS systems and warehouse management systems (WMS). \nPMP certification preferred. \nKnowledge of industrial networking and controls architecture. \nAbility to walk and stand for extended periods throughout the fulfillment center. \nAbility to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. \nAbility to work in varying warehouse temperatures and noise levels. \nAbility to climb stairs, ladders, and access operational equipment areas as needed. \nFast-paced fulfillment center environment with high operational demands. \nMay require flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak season support. \nCombination of office,
