That’s the real meaning of studio-to-street: taking the consciousness from practice on the mat and putting it into practice in life.\nOVERVIEW \nWe are looking for a Lead Data Engineer to architect, build, and evolve the foundational data platform that powers analytics, real-time decisioning, and operational intelligence across Alo. \nThis role is for a deeply experienced builder who has designed production-grade data systems end to end-from event ingestion and transformation to modeling, serving, and governance-and understands how to make them reusable, reliable, and scalable. \nYou will define the technical backbone for how teams ingest, process, and act on data across both batch and real-time systems, enabling marketing automation, inventory intelligence, and order fulfillment visibility. \nREQUIREMENTS \nArchitect and own the end-to-end data platform, primarily on AWS \nDesign and scale event-driven architectures using Kinesis, Kafka, or similar \nBuild and evolve Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) \nDevelop ELT pipelines using dbt and modern warehouses (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake) \nEnable real-time marketing use cases (segmentation, triggers, personalization) \nDesign systems for inventory intelligence and allocation optimization \nBuild pipelines for order lifecycle and SLA insights \nEstablish standards for data modeling, testing, CI/CD, and observability \nEnable analytics via Tableau and ThoughtSpot \nPartner with cross-functional teams across business domains \nAct as technical leader and mentor across engineering teams \nQUALIFICATIONS \nPlatforms & Infrastructure \nCloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) \nEvent-driven and streaming architectures \nCI/CD and infrastructure-as-code \nData Engineering \ndbt, SQL, Python \nBatch and real-time pipelines \nMedallion architecture \nAnalytics & Data Products \nTableau and ThoughtSpot \nSemantic layers and KPI standardization \nExperience \n6-8+ years in data engineering or platform engineering \nExperience with large-scale data platforms \nRetail/e-commerce experience preferred \nThe base salary range for this position is $180,000-$220,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees.
