That’s the real meaning of studio-to-street: taking the consciousness from practice on the mat and putting it into practice in life.\nOVERVIEW\nWe are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to build and scale the foundational data platform that powers analytics, real-time decisioning, and operational intelligence across Alo.\nThis role is for an experienced builder who has delivered production-grade data systems across event ingestion, transformation, modeling, and serving and knows how to make them reusable, reliable, and scalable.\nYou will build and extend the batch and real-time systems teams rely on to ingest, process, and act on data, enabling marketing automation, inventory intelligence, and order fulfillment visibility.\nRESPONSIBILITIES \nBuild and operate core components of the data platform, primarily on AWS\nImplement and scale event-driven pipelines using Kinesis, Kafka, or similar\nDevelop and extend Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold)\nDevelop ELT pipelines using dbt and modern warehouses (Redshift, BigQuery)\nSupport real-time marketing use cases (segmentation, triggers, personalization)\nBuild data models and pipelines for inventory intelligence and allocation optimization\nBuild pipelines for order lifecycle and SLA insights\nApply and help improve standards for data modeling, testing, CI/CD, and observability\nPartner with cross-functional teams across business domains\nMentor junior engineers and contribute to code review and design discussions\nQUALIFICATIONS\nPlatforms & InfrastructureCloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)\nEvent-driven and streaming pipelines\nCI/CD and infrastructure-as-code\n\nData Engineeringdbt, SQL, Python\nBatch and real-time pipelines\nMedallion architecture\n\nExperience3-5+ years in data engineering or platform engineering\nExperience working on large-scale data platforms\nRetail/e-commerce experience preferred\n\nThe base salary range for this position is $140,000-$180,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees.
