This role ensures safe, efficient, and customer-focused execution across inbound, outbound, and returnsoperations while driving productivity, quality, and continuous improvement. The Senior Operations Manager, DCplays a critical role in peak execution, peopleleadership, and operational scalability. \nRESPONSIBILITIES: \nFulfillment Operations Execution \nLead daily operations across inbound receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and returns. \nEnsure consistent achievement of service level agreements (SLAs) for same-day and next-day order fulfillment. \nMonitor real-time performance and adjust labor and workflows to meet changing demands. \nPeople Leadership \nLead and DevelopOperations Managers, Area Managers, Supervisors, and frontline leaders. \nDrive strong safety performance and ensure compliance with all workplace safety standards. \nCoach leaders on performance management, engagement, and talent development. \nPeak & Labor Management \nExecute peak-season and promotional event plans, including staffing, training, and shift coverage. \nManage labor productivity, attendance, and overtime to meet volume requirements. \nSupport flex staffing, temporary labor, and cross-training strategies. \nPerformance Management & Continuous Improvement \nOwn operational KPIs such as units per hour, order accuracy, on-time ship rate, and cycle time. \nConduct root-cause analysis for misses and lead corrective action plans. \nDrive Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives to improve speed, quality, and cost. \nSystems & Technology \nEnsure effective use of WMS, OMS, labor management, and fulfillment technologies. \nPartner with IT and engineering teams to resolve system issues and improve throughput. \nSupport rollout and stabilization of automation and process changes. \nFinancial & Cost Control \nManage departmental labor and operating costs within budget. \nIdentify productivity improvements and cost-saving opportunities. \nSupport capital and process improvement business cases. \nCross-Functional Collaboration \nPartner closely with Transportation, Customer Experience, HR, Maintenance, Engineering, and IT teams. \nCommunicate operational status, risks, and performance updates to site leadership. \nQUALIFICATIONS: \nEducation & Experience \nBachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred. \n5-8+ years of progressive operations leadership experience in e-commerce, fulfillment, or high-volume distribution. \nExperience leading large teams in a multi-shift environment. \nSkills & Competencies \nStrong execution in fast-paced, high-change environments. \nData-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. \nHands-on leadership style with the ability to coach and develop teams. \nWorking knowledge of WMS, labor management systems, and fulfillment KPIs. \nExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. \nWorking Conditions \nFulfillment center environment with extended hours and peak-season demands. \nAbility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required. \nMinimal travel expected. \nSuccess Measures
