This position is ideal for someone ready to expand their project management skills, take ownership of key project activities, and progress into a full Project Manager role.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport the delivery of commercial construction projects, including renovations and tenant improvements, from planning and procurement through completion.\nCoordinate day-to-day activities with subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, Superintendents, and clients.\nPrepare, distribute, and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, meeting notes, and project correspondence.\nReview plans, specifications, scopes, and contracts to identify conflicts, missing information, and coordination concerns.\nAssist with creating and maintaining project schedules, tracking milestones, and following up on delays.\nMonitor budgets, committed costs, invoices, purchasing activity, and change orders to help maintain financial control.\nCoordinate material orders, delivery timelines, subcontractor sequencing, and jobsite logistics.\nAttend project meetings, document decisions, assign follow-up items, and ensure outstanding issues are addressed.\nConduct jobsite visits to review progress, document field conditions, and coordinate solutions with Superintendents.\nSupport inspections, punch-list completion, warranty items, client turnover, and final project closeout.\nFlag potential schedule delays, cost overruns, procurement challenges, and scope changes before they affect delivery.\nGradually assume greater responsibility for project scheduling, cost management, subcontractor coordination, and execution.\nRequirements\nAt least 2 years of experience in commercial construction, project engineering, project coordination, or project management.\nPrior employment with a commercial general contractor is mandatory.\nExperience with commercial building projects, renovations, or tenant improvements.\nWorking knowledge of construction documents, specifications, RFIs, submittals, contracts, schedules, and change orders.\nUnderstanding of construction sequencing, procurement, subcontractor management, and project controls.\nAbility to coordinate effectively with field teams, design professionals, trade partners, vendors, and clients.\nExperience monitoring project costs, purchasing commitments, schedules, and change-order activity.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and construction or project management software.\nStrong communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.\nBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline preferred; relevant practical experience may substitute.\nImportant: Commercial construction experience is essential.
