Mechanical Engineer to join our Facility Management team responsible for the effective operation, maintenance, and performance of mechanical systems\nKey Responsibilities\nManage the operation, maintenance, and performance of mechanical systems and equipment within the facility.\nDevelop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programmes for mechanical assets.\nSupervise the maintenance of HVAC systems, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, plumbing systems, generators, fire-fighting systems, and other mechanical equipment.\nConduct routine inspections, diagnose faults, and coordinate timely corrective actions.\nMonitor contractors and service providers to ensure compliance with SLAs, quality standards, and safety requirements.\nMaintain accurate records of equipment, maintenance activities, faults, repairs, and spare parts.\nEnsure compliance with HSE requirements, statutory regulations, and facility maintenance standards.\nMonitor energy and equipment performance and identify opportunities for improved efficiency and cost optimisation.\nPrepare maintenance reports and provide recommendations on equipment replacement, repairs, and improvements.\nSupport the Facility Manager in ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of the mall.\n Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.\n5-8 years of relevant experience, preferably in facility management, commercial buildings, shopping malls, hospitality, manufacturing, or similar environments.\nStrong hands-on knowledge of HVAC, chillers, pumps, plumbing, fire-fighting systems, and other mechanical building services.\nExperience in preventive and corrective maintenance and maintenance planning.\nExperience supervising technicians, contractors, and service providers.\nGood knowledge of CMMS, maintenance documentation, and reporting.\nStrong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nProfessional certification or membership of a relevant engineering body will be an advantage.\n Candidates resident in Kano or willing to relocate to Kano will be preferred.\n Good professional appearance and attitude.\nDiplomatic, tactful, discreet, flexible, resourceful and dependable\nExcellent leadership and project management skills\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nOutstanding
