This role focuses on BIM/VDC coordination, clash detection, and prefabrication detailing to support efficient field installation.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop and maintain detailed 3D models of electrical systems, including conduit pathways, cable trays, equipment, hangers, sleeves, and penetrations.\nProduce shop drawings, installation plans, spool drawings, coordination layouts, and prefabrication packages.\nPerform clash detection and coordinate electrical layouts with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.\nReview design documents and specifications to identify discrepancies, installation challenges, and missing information.\nCollaborate with engineers, project managers, and other trades to resolve BIM/VDC coordination issues.\nIncorporate approved RFIs, submittals, design revisions, and field changes into project models.\nCoordinate with estimators, superintendents, foremen, and field crews to ensure models reflect actual site conditions.\nDevelop models that support prefabrication accuracy, installation sequencing, and field productivity.\nProvide updated drawings and technical modeling support throughout construction.\nPrepare as-built documentation and final model deliverables at project completion.\nMaintain drawing accuracy and ensure all deliverables meet project standards and specifications.\nRequirements\n3+ years of experience in BIM modeling, electrical detailing, VDC design, or a related field.\nRequired: Hands-on experience with commercial electrical construction projects.\nProven ability to develop electrical system models and construction-ready drawings.\nAdvanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.\nKnowledge of electrical installation practices, conduit routing, cable trays, equipment layouts, supports, and penetrations.\nExperience with clash detection, BIM/VDC coordination, and multidisciplinary construction models.\nAbility to interpret electrical and architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents.\nStrong understanding of field installation requirements, constructability, and construction sequencing.\nAbility to produce accurate, coordinated models that crews can use directly for installation.\nPrefabrication modeling and spool drawing experience preferred.\nStrong attention to detail, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.\nAssociate degree, technical certification, or equivalent training and experience in BIM, drafting, electrical design, or a related discipline
