plan review through final bid submission.\nKey Responsibilities\nPrepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work on commercial interior construction projects.\nReview blueprints, specifications, contracts, and bid revisions to define project scope and quantities.\nPerform quantity takeoffs and calculate material requirements, installation costs, and labor projections.\nObtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals, verifying pricing accuracy and scope coverage.\nIdentify missing scope, conflicting responsibilities, exclusions, and constructability issues before bid submission.\nDevelop pricing based on project requirements, current market rates, and historical cost data.\nPrepare bid packages with itemized costs, scope definitions, assumptions, exclusions, and alternative options.\nRecommend cost-saving materials and installation methods while maintaining project quality and specifications.\nCoordinate with project managers, field supervisors, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to clarify scope and resolve pricing questions.\nMaintain accurate estimating records, vendor pricing, bid logs, and cost databases.\nMonitor changes in labor rates, material costs, subcontractor pricing, and market conditions.\nPrepare preliminary budgets, negotiated estimates, change-order pricing, and revised proposals.\nDevelop cost summaries and scope documentation for projects awarded to the construction team.\nParticipate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and bid reviews.\nManage multiple estimates while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.\nImprove estimating procedures and cost-tracking practices to strengthen pricing consistency.\nRequirements\n3+ years of estimating experience in commercial interior construction.\nRequired: Direct estimating experience with commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring, or related interior finish trades.\nStrong knowledge of interior construction materials, installation methods, trade sequencing, and project costs.\nAbility to interpret architectural plans, specifications, contracts, addenda, and bid documents.\nProven experience performing quantity takeoffs and preparing detailed commercial bids.\nAbility to evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals and identify pricing or scope discrepancies.\nProficiency with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or comparable estimating software.\nUnderstanding of labor rates, material pricing, equipment expenses, and subcontractor costs.\nStrong mathematical, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nEffective communication and collaboration abilities.\nExcellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple
