You will analyze electrical capacity, charger siting, make-ready needs, and interconnection constraints so agencies can build reliable Level 2 and DC fast-charging infrastructure.\nWe confirm scope, schedule, and fee with you before any engagement begins.\nWhat you'll do\nReview site electrical capacity, panel schedules, transformers, and service upgrades for charger loads\nProduce or review EVSE layouts, single-line diagrams, load calculations, and make-ready scopes\nCoordinate utility service planning, interconnection applications, and meter or rate options\nAdvise on Level 2 and DCFC hardware selection, power sharing, and code compliance (NEC, local AHJ)\nSupport cost estimates for electrical upgrades, trenching, and charger installation packages\nFlag constructability, safety, and accessibility issues before agencies bid or award install work\nContribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when you authorize naming\nApply to be considered.\nRequirements\nRequired\nProfessional experience designing or reviewing EV charging electrical infrastructure for agencies or commercial sites\nWorking knowledge of Level 2 and DC fast charging, load calculations, and utility make-ready requirements\nAbility to interpret single-line diagrams and produce engineer-ready findings an agency can act on\nComfortable as a 1099 project-based consultant, remote-first with occasional site visits\nNice to have\nLicensed Professional Engineer (PE) in electrical or a closely related discipline\nExperience with municipal, county, transit depot, or highway corridor charging projects\nFamiliarity with NEVI, CFI, or state EVSE design and compliance
