We're not a separate QA checkpoint - we enable engineering teams to ship fast with confidence.\nAbout the Role:\nYou'll lead and manage a team of quality engineers: hiring, performance, and career growth, while staying hands-on enough to make calls on testing, test strategy, and quality debt. Working manager role - technical credibility matters as much as people skills.\nWhat You'll Do\nHire, manage performance, and drive career growth for your team\nMake quality-related technical calls: review MRs, test plans, improve test strategy, drive metrics on test coverage, customer issues, quality debt\nOwn execution and prioritization for your team's quality commitments\nBuild and/or maintain the dashboards and metrics that give visibility into quality health\nBring a proactive, clear quality narrative to your manager and partner teams\nPartner closely with engineering managers, PMs, designers, and peer QE managers\nSet up team processes (release pipelines, test planning, escalations, etc) that hold up without you checking every step\nOwn a portfolio-level view of quality\nWho You Are\n3+ years in a team management role\n5+ years in quality engineering/quality assurance, Senior/Staff+ level prior to managerial role\nExperienced managing QA/QE or test automation engineers\nTechnical depth in test planning, test strategy, automation, and quality metrics\nA track record of building tools and processes that other teams adopt and rely on\nA coach who gives specific, direct feedback\nWhat You'll Do\nHire, manage performance, and drive career growth for your team\nMake quality-related technical calls: review MRs, test plans, improve test strategy, drive metrics on test coverage, customer issues, quality debt\nOwn execution and prioritization for your team's quality commitments\nBuild and/or maintain the dashboards and metrics that give visibility into quality health\nBring a proactive, clear quality narrative to your manager and partner teams\nPartner closely with engineering managers, PMs, designers, and peer QE managers\nSet up team processes (release pipelines, test planning, escalations, etc) that hold up without you checking every step\nOwn a portfolio-level view of quality\nTechnical Requirements:\nExperience evaluating non-deterministic or generative outputs (LLM/GenAI features)\nFamiliarity with eval frameworks, golden datasets, or scoring rubrics for measuring output quality \nDeep knowledge in at least one of: Kotlin, Python, JavaScript, or Java\nStrong understanding of testing methodologies and QA domain theory\nExperience with different test automation frameworks \nStrong test design skills on all levels\nExperience with Test Management Systems (e.g., Allure TestOps)\nExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Kubernetes)\nSolid understanding of CI/CD and continuous delivery practices\nFluency with AI tools, with a track record of using them to raise quality, speed up testing and delivery\nBonus Points if you have:\nExposure to search relevance or ranking quality\nExperience setting up and configuring CI/CD tools and pipelines\nGood understanding of GraphQL\nExperience with Performance Engineering (k6 or similar) and Observability (OpenTelemetry/Grafana)\nWhat we Offer:\nPlaying a part in the story of fast growing company\nInteresting Career opportunities and training\nRelocation support for single employees, couples and families\nWhile we do have an office in Helsinki, we’re a distributed company.
